FAQs

The Wedding Website of Elisa DiMauro and Evan Burns
Question

What are the accommodations?

Answer

Cabins, baby! But don't worry...Timber Lake Camp takes its accommodations for guests very seriously. In addition to being very clean and comfy, all cabins have their own bathrooms/showers AND air conditioning! Linens are provided, including sheets, pillow, pillowcase, blanket and bath towel. Each cabin sleeps anywhere from 4 to 10 guests. We will keep friends and families together.

Question

What if cabins aren't "my thing"?

Answer

We understand, but we hope it won't keep you from us the whole weekend! The camp does have a limited amount of "hotel style" rooms (Queen bed, private bath). If you are interested in staying on site, but need a private room, please contact us directly ASAP so we can try to accommodate your request (Seniority rules here!) There are also a few nearby hotels that Timber Lake Camp refers to the parents of their campers. (There are no room blocks at any hotel.) www.timberlakecamp.com/current-families/travelling-to-camp/

Question

What activities will be available?

Answer

Timber Lake Camp is equipped to entertain 1,000 screaming adolescents, so there is something there for everyone. There are baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, hockey rinks, soccer fields, dance/yoga studio, a movie theater, tennis courts, a fully equipped workout gym, spin studio, hiking paths, a driving range, heated pool, lake with waterslide, canoes, kayaks, bocce, paddle boards, and billiard games... just to name a few.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

While we are going away to summer camp, we are still getting married and would love everyone to dress to impress. Saturday Morning Ceremony - Camp Festive (Sundresses and Slacks) Saturday Afternoon Activities - Camp Casual (bathing suits, t-shirts and shorts) Saturday Evening Reception - Camp Formal (Suits and cocktail dresses)

Question

How will meals work?

Answer

All of the meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and reception dinner, and Sunday brunch) are included! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions on your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided throughout the weekend.

Question

What if I'm not an "active" person?

Answer

Have no fear! If mobility is a concern, we will have a golf cart available to help get you to all of the important events and around the campsite! And while a lot of the available activities over the weekend are more "physical", there will be a lot of options for things to do! Board games, and bocce, and movies, oh my!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Beach Towel (camp only provides bath towels) Sneakers Activewear - for day time activities Sweater/Sweatshirt - we're up in the mountains so it gets cooler at night Bathing suit Toiletries Bug Spray & Sunblock Extra Blanket - for stargazing! Dress clothing - to get your party on!

Question

What are the closest airports?

Answer

Albany International Airport in Colonie, NY Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY (1.5 Hour Drive) JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia airports are about 2.5 hours away, but you may find cheaper/direct flights:

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

We'll have fun anyway! Luckily, Timber Lake Camp has a lot of indoor areas and alternate activities such as a craft room, spin room, and TWO movie theaters! But, sports don't get cancelled in the rain! The Timberdome is a covered sports arena with multiple basketball, hockey and soccer courts.

Question

Is there a curfew?

Answer

Are you an adult? The camp is ours for the entire weekend so we set the rules - and we say stay up as late as we want!

Question

Is there cell service at the camp?

Answer

Due to the remote location in the Catskill Mountains, cellular service and data are VERY spotty. However, there will be a few locations where Wi-Fi will be available to us. The camp also has land lines if needed. But, if you're going to be on your phone a lot during our wedding, you're uninvited.

Question

What if I can only stay for 1 night?

Answer

We hope that you will be able to celebrate the entire weekend with us! However, if you can only make it for one night we'd still love to have you.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Children, no. Teenagers, yes. We love your kids but thought you might like a weekend off. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style! (Teenagers are welcome - we wouldn't work in high schools if we didn't love teens!)
