The dress code is semi-formal. Think cocktail attire (suits, blazers, dresses & jumpsuits). Since it will be Fall in the West Virginia Mountains, please consider bringing a coat or shawl in order to be prepared for cooler temperatures. Another important thing to keep in mind is since both our ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place on a beautiful deck, we kindly ask that you consider wearing flats, wedges or block heels to ensure that everyone stays safe, comfortable and enjoys the day without any worries of getting hurt. For anyone who prefers to wear stilettos, we strongly suggest that you purchase a pair of heel protectors to compliment them.
Although we adore your little ones; due to the nature of our venue, we are unable to accommodate children who are under the age of 21 years old. Thank you in advance for understanding and we truly hope that you can still celebrate with us!
While we always love the concept of "the more, the merrier" especially when it comes to a big celebration, due to the venue having a strict guest count, we will only be able to accommodate those who are noted on each invitation.
Both the ceremony & cocktail hour will be taking place outdoors. The celebration will then continue inside at Smokey's on the Gorge for the remainder of the evening. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will still take place outdoors. A tent will be provided to protect guests from the elements.
While the weather is unpredictable most days, given it will be Fall in the West Virginia Mountains, during the day expect weather that will be in a range of high 50's to low 60's. In the evening, temperatures my drop to around the mid 40's range. We ask that you pack accordingly to your comfort level for this temperature range.
We highly encourage that guests should book their accommodations at Adventures on the Gorge which is where the wedding will be taking place (please refer to our travel page for further information). The venue will be additionally offering half off the original cost of hotel styled cabins. In the case that certain guests would prefer to stay at a hotel or even an Airbnb, there are a few hotels in the area. Please note that there will be no room blocks or transportation services provided for this option.
We will not be offering transportation because the venue provides onsite accommodations. For any guests who choose to stay at a nearby hotel or Airbnb will be responsible for providing their own transportation to the wedding. The venue offers ample complimentary parking. For guests who choose to drink during the event, should consider a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft.
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say, "I do". We have hired professionals to capture these moments for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like! We even encourage you to use the hashtag #campmazar to post on social media!
The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you! Please drink responsibly!
Please let us know via email at jcwedding110825@gmail.com or when you R.S.V.P for the event, please add in the note section of your R.S.V.P what specifically the food allergy is.
