It was September 2012 when Mitchell and Ellie met in the old Concord-Carlisle High School cafeteria. Except not really... Ellie saw Mitchell from afar and thought to herself, "I'm going to date him." Shortly after, news spread around the school that Ellie had a crush on Mitchell. At the time, Mitchell had no idea who Ellie was. Eventually, his friends wrote his phone number on a note and tossed it to Ellie in the library. Ellie snatched up the note, and they began texting back and forth on their flip phones. Their first date was in a double kayak down the Assabet River in Concord, MA (see photo in gallery). It poured, but that didn't stop them. Mitchell asked Ellie to his Junior Prom in 2014, and shortly thereafter, they officially began dating on June 2, 2014. The couple stayed together through the remainder of high school and maintained long distance through college (Upstate NY and Boston). After college, they lived together in South Boston for three years. Fast forward to 2025, and Mitchell proposed to Ellie in Bar Harbor, Maine on August 22. Both lake people, they knew Camp Robindel on Lake Winnipesaukee was the perfect place to finally tie the knot. They are thrilled to celebrate their 12-year long love story and the rest of their lives with their closest friends and family on Labor Day weekend 2026!
