The two closest towns to the venue are Mazama and Winthrop Mazama has a market, cafe, gas station and three restaurants. Winthop has a population of about 350 people with several restaurants and bars. You will be able to rent an inflatable raft or tube to float (or paddle) down the Methow river. We are working with the Methow Valley River Rafting company to design a unique river float specifically for our group. We expect the cost to be about $40 per person. More details to follow. There are two women's and two men's showers located outdoors near the Safari Tents. Please bring your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc.). Bring your own shower shoes and towel! Ladies/Gents - there are only 2 mirrors in the bathroom... leave plenty of time for getting ready :)
yes... this is the woods, there are bears. Please be bear-safe! Do not keep food in your tent or sleeping bag. All food should be placed in the Bear Safety Container on site.
check out the website www.alltrails.com this website lists all hikes in the area. It will tell you the distance, elevation gain, and difficulty. Make sure to bring plenty of water!
At the venue there will be WiFi and service at the Woodstone Pizzeria...otherwise once you leave I5 the service can be scarce

The Woodstone pizzeria on site is open from 8-8 and there are plenty of restaurants in downtown Winthrop. You can keep snacks in the hut or tents - mini fridges are available in the huts but not the tents. Feel free to pack coolers. At night they need to go in the BearBox unless you want a furry visitor sneaking into your tent
