Flight
SeaTac (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport) is the largest hub near our venue though it is still a drive away. Fly into Sea-Tac International Airport. If possible, you may prefer to fly in on Thursday, Oct. 10th, and spend the night near SeaTac. This makes for a shorter day of travel on Friday. If you plan to fly in on Friday and make it to our Welcome Dinner, we recommend you land by 1PM. Travel from Airport to NatureBridge: The easiest mode of transportation is car. You can rent a car through one of the many options in/around the airport. It's about a 3-hour drive from the airport to the venue. You can drive south around the Puget Sound and then follow Hwy 16 to Hwy 101. Alternatively, you may choose to drive through Seattle and take a ferry across the Sound. The ferry is a fun experience but will take longer. A Note on Ferries from SEATAC: The closest ferry from the airport is the Bainbridge Ferry (to Bainbridge Island). The NatureBridge venue is only 0.25 miles off of Hwy 101. The Google Map directions are accurate, and there will be signage once you've reached Lake Crescent. Turn right onto Lake Crescent Road - sign for Storm King Ranger Station, Lake Crescent Lodge, NatureBridge (that's us!), and Marymere Falls. Turn left at the first cross street (sign directing you left for NatureBridge). Turn right at the NatureBridge sign. Pass the main entrance on your left. Park in the gravel parking lot on the left. The final steps: Once you've parked, walk towards the beginning of the parking lot (i.e., the side nearest Hwy 101). Look for the tall brown board with the campus map on it, or maybe you'll have saved it from our website. Take the path to the right (away from the road you came in on). There will be a building on your right, a gateway on your left, and a large entrance that says "ROSEMARY" - head that way!
Travel Note
To get to NatureBridge from Bellingham you will have to take the Coupeville ferry to Port Townsend. Book a ferry ticket well in advance as tickets sell out! The Coupeville terminal is a 1.5 hour drive from downtown Bellingham. The ferry ride is 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Port Townsend, hop on highway 101 for 1.5 hours and you'll arrive at Lake Crescent. The NatureBridge venue is only .25 miles off of Hwy 101. The Google Map directions are accurate, and there will be signage once you've reached Lake Crescent.
