As you may know, we are professional theatre performers. In the theatre industry, the normal day off is a Monday. Therefore, we decided to have our wedding on a Monday to best accommodate any of our theatre friends and family.
We both love New England, especially during the summer and fall seasons! Most of Sarah's family resides in Massachusetts, and even Chris, who grew up in the South, has spent significant time traveling through the Northeast. We want to celebrate our special day in the beautiful state of Maine, where you can enjoy the fantastic scenery, food, and history that New England has to offer.
Yes.
We are not doing your typical plated dinner reception. We are having food trucks where you will pick up your selected entree with sides, and head into the barn to eat!
We'll be dressed up, and if that makes you feel snazzy, then feel free to join! But truly come as you are, and in whatever makes you feel comfortable. If we had to choose our vibe, it would be semi-formal & rustic. Just keep in mind for footwear- the wedding will be taking place both outdoors, and inside an old barn.
We will be sending specific info to all of our attending guests via email in the next month or so. Right now, for the safety of our loved ones, we will likely ask everyone in attendance to take a Covid test within 24 hours of arriving to the wedding festivities, and email us with your results. Of course, if you are feeling under the weather, or have had known exposure within one week of our wedding, please opt to enjoy our ceremony from afar by tuning into our Zoom link / livestream. It is our top priority to keep our friends and family safe & healthy. <3
