Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held at the Old Central Church followed by the reception at the Jacob Henry Mansion. The church and mansion are in one property which is at: 20 South Eastern Avenue, Joliet, IL 60433.

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, the property has a parking lot for guests. Here is a link for their campus map. https://www.jacobhenrymansion.com/campus-map

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be indoors but guests are welcome to roam around the property in between the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Smoking is not permitted inside the venue.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We would like you to wear a formal attire.

Question

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

We would prefer if you wore neutral colors except for tan, dusty rose and white.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is a small and intimate one that we want to share with the people close to us. If we have given you that option, it should say it in your invite. Otherwise, please contact us and we'll see if we can accommodate your request.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We are aiming for an adults-only wedding. No kids under the age of 5. We believe we have sent out invites with families that have older kids and invited them. If we missed it, please contact us.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:30 pm. Please arrive before it starts.

Question

Will there be hard drinks?

Answer

We will only be doing a soft bar for our wedding.

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour should happen between the wedding ceremony and reception as the couple will take pictures and get ready within that time.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Definitely! We will also be setting up QR codes where you can send those pictures as we would like to see your point of view and we can keep them as part of our memories.
