Enjoy a promenade through historic Annecy! As you walk the cobblestone streets weaving through charming canals, you'll quickly understand why Annecy is sometimes referred to as 'the Venice of the Alps.' Take advantage of the numerous street-side terraces for some people-watching while enjoying a midday espresso or glass of wine!
Leisurely: Réserve Naturelle du Bout du Lac d'Annecy: A flat, forested walk ending with an alternative view of Lac d'Annecy. Moderate: Roc de Chère Nature Reserve: A quiet escape with various trail lengths to suit your interests. Strenuous: Mont Veyrier - Mont Baron Loop: A steep but rewarding hike with incredible views of the region. Camille's and Will's favorite.
For those adventurous souls, take to the skies and go paragliding for some of the best views of the region! Annecy, and more specifically Col de la Forclaz, offers some of the best paragliding in Europe. We recommend Delta Evasion, the outfitter that we used during our last visit.
