The list of restaurants we use when we're in the city. Not all of these are traditional Argentine food.
Logan's favorite restaurant in Mar del Plata is "Pizzeria Pedrito" or "Restaurante dos55" for BBQ. Cami's: Oceanside (always love to have seafood when in Mar del Plata)
Spend a day in the countryside, complete with a traditional Argentinian asado (BBQ), horseback and carriage rides, folk dancing, and a "corrida de sortija" - a gaucho sport on horseback.
Our first trip in Argentina was to Iguazu Falls and we loved it! We kept talking about how we needed to take Logan's family there. If you have the time, we recommend this trip! The falls are breathtaking, surrounded by green jungle- an awesome change from the city. We stayed at "La Aldea de La Selva" https://www.laaldeadelaselva.com/en/ Iguazu Falls Vacation Travel Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kY5G8s99Fl8
Mendoza is Argentina's most famous wine region. We haven't been there yet but want to make it out there soon. There is a flight from Mar del Plata to Mendoza that leaves Sundays so it could be a fun idea to leave Sunday after the wedding to Mendoza: https://www.aerolineas.com.ar/flights-offers?adt=1&inf=0&chd=0&flexDates=false&cabinClass=Economy&flightType=ONE_WAY&leg=MDQ-MDZ-20250309 Mendoza Vacation Travel Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XNjXgM6FHo Mendoza vlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxlQdOCteiQ
The awe-inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing glaciers in the world is in Santa Cruz, a province in Argentina's Patagonian region, the southern part of the country. It's set between the Andes mountains to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Los Glaciares National Park, home to the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, is known for its ever-shifting icy landscape. El Chaltén and El Calafate are towns that act as hubs for exploring Los Glaciares. We have never been but heard it's easy to view up close!
