Travel Note
Our events are all in a radius around downtown, so for getting around it would be most convenient to stay near downtown, Brickell or Edgewater, but Coconut Grove, Wynwood and others work too. If your lifestyle requires you to stay in Miami Beach just be aware you'll be a 20-40 min uber from the mainland, where most events and most other folks are staying. *If you are on your own and are looking to go in with a larger group, please let us know and we can put you together with other folks that are looking to fill up a booking.*
Hotel
This links directly to the room block we have a short walk from the wedding venue at the Hotel Ayra from May 16-19 (to book dates outside of that at the hotel you'll need to make a separate booking for those other dates). Yes, it is owned by Best Western but it's a nice three-star hotel in their premium line; we endeavored to get a reasonably affordable room block that people will actually use. Post-taxes it's around $250 a night for a King Bed, $275 for two Queen beds and $340 a night for a suite with a max capacity of 4. The block is offered at these fixed prices until April 15. No fee cancellation deadline is 72 hours in advance.
House Or Rental
Sonder does short term apartment rentals; they have a couple apartments in Miami and are showing some really reasonable rates for the week of our wedding. We recently stayed at The Palace in Edgewater and thought it was excellent value. The ones in Miami Beach could work too - just make sure you're not looking at the properties in Hollywood or Ft Lauderdale.
Hotel
If you use Google Maps' search algorithm for the wedding dates you can probably find some decent hotel deals and unlike other search engines they'll actually show you the post-tax rate as you search. Also showing up on maps: online travel agencies will have regular flash sales - just make sure you're comfortable going through a travel agency.
House Or Rental
Once the glorious preserve of cheap and plentiful airbnbs for your ratchet party weekend, Miami has seen a major airbnb crackdown that has limited supply. There are still good deals to be had, especially for longer stays and larger groups, but the historic discount to hotels/Sonder is largely gone and it's tough to find places Downtown and Brickell.
