You can see alligators and it has a great hiking trail.
The original Muffuletta is still made here. Sit down with a bag of Zapp's chips and a Barq's Root Beer and split a muffuletta. Trust me you will want to share it with someone.
Cute park in the area. Has plenty of trails to walk and you can see some of our local wildlife there.
This place is awesome. Definitely plan for 3+ hours if you want to get the full experience there.
It may not be Carnival season but you can still see some of the floats up close and see some of the throws we usually catch. Also a tip: Don't wear any Mardi Gras beads you got/bought, the locals can mark you right away as a tourist.
Around the square you can see the river, the Cathedral, and the French Quarter. Many artist and musicians set up around the fencing. The French Market is a short walk from here and so is Cafe Du Monde for beignets and coffee (have cash). Fun Fact: The second level above the shops surrounding the square are apartments.
This was our first date. We talked about with crawfish were pets or food lol.
Classic upscale New Orleans eats. Check out their lunch specials.
We've been here a few times. They have a restaurant and then they have a butcher shop with quick lunch sandwiches. If you want to pick up some New Orleans Andouille sausage and other meats check out this place.
OMG they have the best venison steak I have ever had in my life. And the double cut pork chops are beautiful.
This is our comfort food place. Seriously we go here at least once a month. You have to try the spring rolls. New Orleans has a surprisingly decent Vietnamese population so you will see a lot of places to eat pho.
cash only! they only cost a couple bucks anyway.
