You absolutely can. It is a beautiful place to enjoy. The French Quarter is about a 30 minute drive from our venue. So if you are looking for something close to the venue for a night look into the Kenner area. See accommodations page for more information.
Just past the venue like half a block is a parking lot on the left side. There will be someone out there directing traffic. Do not stop for drop offs in front of the venue.
Anything that is not a chain restaurant. There are thousands of local eateries in the Greater New Orleans area. Check out the Things To Do page for a few suggestions.
This is not a formal event so any nice sundress or light dress shirt is perfect. It stays warm in New Orleans pretty much year round. Temperatures at the end of September usually run about 80-85 degrees.
Please arrive at the venue around 4:30 to make sure you have time to park and find a seat inside. The venue will have snacks and light drinks available before the ceremony. Our ceremony starts at 5 promptly.
We have opted to keep this event child free. We understand that for our out of town guests you may be traveling with the little ones. We have several people who are extremely qualified child care professionals that will be able to watch them for the evening. Please contact Alyssa or Kelly for the details.
Overall, Kenner is safer then New Orleans proper. There will be security at the venue just in case. For tips to stay safe in New Orleans, visit this site, https://www.smartertravel.com/bad-neighborhoods-new-orleans-warnings-dangers/ While the city does have crime just like any big city, I feel comfortable walking around the city. I hope y'all get the chance to explore this unique place :)
