Flight
Cancun International is the closest airport to Tulum. Google flights is a great tool, offering flexibility to find affordable flights based on your schedule. The "Track Prices" feature can help you determine if its the right time to buy. Typically, the best price on flights to Cancun can be found ~ 3-4 months before, but with Covid-19, flights have been cheaper than ever, so we recommend buying immediately. Sites including www.theflightdeal.com or www.scottscheapflights.com are also ways to find an unbelievable price for your flight.

Travel Note
Tulum is known for it’s magnificent beaches and well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. Tulum is divided into two main areas, Tulum “town” and the beach/hotel Zone. Tulum town is different from the beach area with local flavor, filled with authentic taco stands, souvenir shops, and lush Airbnbs near the jungle, offering a more budget-friendly vibe in a rustic setting. The beach area is an exquisite stretch of beautiful coastline, top tier restaurants and hotels. Both areas have tons of great restaurants, bars and boutiques. Taxis are readily accessible in both locations (cash only). Tulum Town is about a 15-20 minute bike ride to the beach or a short cab ride (200 - 250 pesos/ $10-12). You can find affordable bicycle rentals all over town or at the beach. They range from 100-150 pesos ($5-7 per day) and are the easiest way to zip around town and explore.
Rental Car
The trip to Tulum is ~90 minutes from Cancun Airport. It's an easy drive down the 307 highway directly into Tulum. Renting a car is a great option to best explore Tulum (or carpooling with one of the other guests). Shuttles are also readily available and an easy way to get from Cancun to Tulum. Some hotels will also include shuttle transportation. If you have any questions on shuttle arrangements please contact Cam & Krista. Cancun offers plenty of car rental options. We recommend doing this in advance to save on rental fees. You can rent a car for 1 week for around ~$100 / $125 SUV with insurance, fees and unlimited mileage. Note, there are a lot of really good "deals" online, but once you get to the rental counter, they will require 3rd party liability insurance. This is required by law and ends up costing more than the rental. We recommend Mex Rent A Car, which includes all the fees so you won't get stuck with any hidden fees at the rental office.

House Or Rental
Airbnb offers a wide selection of beautiful, and very affordable homes and apartment rentals in Tulum! It is a 10 min cab ride and 30 min bike ride to the venue/beach access from the town. All Airbnb options are new and most include pools/concierge to help organize travel. Make sure you choose an airbnb that is close to the main highway 15. You can check this on the map on the condo listing page under "location." You do not want to stay deep in the condo complex as the drive to the beach will take longer and cabs are hard to come by. This is a great option for large parties of 6 or more, and for families! This villa is one example of the many Airbnb options you can choose from! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23945383?s=51
