6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Casual Garden Attire: Florals and pastels, skirts and pants in lighter hues, and colourful shawls.
A warm welcome dinner to meet all of you lovely people to kickstart the wedding weekend at a pub just across the way from Madingley Hall.
2:00 pm - 11:00 pm
This event is black-tie optional. Traditional Indian and English attire is welcome. Subtle homages to your favourite literary figures encouraged. The grass can be soft and punting is part of the program, so maybe just rethink stilettos.
Mr. Kaiser and Mrs. Llony Majumder will be hosting the chapel wedding, drinks reception, and wedding breakfast (formal dinner) at St Bene't's Church and at Trinity Hall, in the University of Cambridge. We will then take you on a short trip down the river (via punt!) to The Anchor Pub, where we'll drink, snack, sing and dance through the evening. Regarding transportation: If you're staying at Madingley Hall, we've arranged for transportation to and from the venues for the 19th August celebrations. If you're not staying at MH, then please try to get to MH by 1PM (on 19th August) or please arrange for a taxi from wherever you're staying!
7:30 am - 9:00 am
Your prettiest pyjamas.
A buffet breakfast will be available for all of our guests. We're looking forward to hangover hugs in the Dining Room to recoup from the night's shenanigans, before joining us for some more in the garden. Follow MoB Llony to the Gaye Holud.
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Smart desi casual. Outfits that don't feel complete without a drink in hand.
Dancing, singing, buffet food and family fun for our mehendi & sangeet at The Tivoli close to Cambridge City Centre - our favourite new bar in the area. *Important notes for our guests: We won’t be arranging transportation to or from the venue, so please hire a taxi or an Uber to get there and back to your hotel!
4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Desi Bridgerton: Traditional Indian attire with a regency twist preferred, though not necessary.
Shoshur and Shashuri (Drs. Prithwish and Tumpa Banerjee) will be hosting this traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at Peterhouse, Cambridge's oldest college, followed by drinks and dinner - a relaxed, mellow affair to cap off the weekend's festivities. *Important notes for our guests: Due to college rules, we won't be permitted to have under-18s present at this event. Also, we won’t be arranging transportation for this event as guests from all over the UK will be attending! Please make arrangements to hire a taxi or an Uber to Peterhouse College and back to your hotel. *AGES 16-29: We've hired out a space starting 4PM at The Graduate (just behind Peterhouse College) in order to accommodate our friends - a largely young group. We're asking for all young adults to sit out the rather long and potentially tiring religious ceremonies, and get a head start mingling, drinking, dining, dancing, and relaxing at our afterparty location! Spandan and I will join after the religious ceremony:)
