Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We plan for our wedding day to be a magical evening filled with dancing and late-night festivities. While we love all your little ones, we want everyone to fully immerse themselves in the joy of the evening, and so we kindly request that this be an adults-only celebration. If you are traveling to Portugal with your children and are interested in hiring a babysitter for the night of the wedding, please let us know as our wedding planners have some dependable suggestions.

Question

Do I need to Soft RSVP?

Answer

Our Soft RSVP is a way to let us know of your intentions to join our special night. While it is not required, it is helpful for us to know of anyone who is absolutely sure of their ability to join us. Please note that the Soft RSVP is different than the formal RSVP which will be detailed on our formal invitation. We kindly request that you provide a final confirmation after the formal invitation regardless of your response to the Soft RSVP.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Look good feel good! We kindly request that all guests dress in cocktail attire. Dresses, jumpsuits, and such for the ladies. Slacks, sport coats, dress shirts (ties optional) and the like for the gents. We will be outdoors for most of the evening. Please consider appropriate shoes for cobblestone pathways and grassy vineyards, as well as something to throw over your shoulders for the cooler evening.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

It is of the upmost importance that our wedding is attended by the people closest to us. We kindly ask that those who are listed on your invitation are the people who attend our wedding. Please reach out to us with specific concerns.

Question

Is it mandatory to stay at the hotel?

Answer

We strongly encourage our guests to book a stay at the Monverde Hotel for the night of the wedding for convenience, comfort, and safety. All events from ceremony to reception will take place at the hotel and partying and dancing will continue until the late hours of the evening. While we suggest booking an extra night before the wedding to give you time to settle from your travels, it is not required for your booking. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information on booking.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our dinner menu is pre-selected for our guests. Should you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in the designated space when you RSVP. Please reach out to us should you have any specific concerns.
