Wedding Party

Kyle Leangpun

Best Man

If you’re looking for someone who can fly a C-17 Globemaster across the ocean, run 26.2 miles for "fun," and maintain the exact same facial expression through both, meet my brother. He spends his days commanding massive military aircraft and his mornings running distances most people only travel in a car. He’s essentially a human Swiss Army Knife, though he’s far too stoic to ever brag about it. In fact, if you ask him how he’s feeling on the wedding day, don't expect a speech—expect a single, sturdy nod of approval.

Vu Tran

Groomsman

If you see a man meticulously analyzing the bean-to-water ratio of his morning pour-over, please do not call him a hipster. He will deny it. Even though he once owned both a coffee shop and a food truck (the ultimate hipster starter pack), he insists he’s just a "fan of artisanal quality." These days, he’s traded the espresso machine and the flat-top grill for the wild world of fatherhood. As our newest dad, he’s currently mastering the art of the 3:00 AM diaper change with the same precision he used to craft a perfect latte.

Jacob Meeks

Groomsman

If you hear a laugh echoing through the jungle or notice the energy in the room suddenly spike, you’ve found Meeks. Known for his legendary "Go for Meeks" radio call and a personality that’s larger than the resort itself, he is the undisputed champion of a good time. While the rest of us might be debating the nuances of a vintage wine, Meeks keeps it strictly high-octane: if it ain’t a Whiskey & Coke or a crisp Coors Light, he’s probably not interested. A man of simple pleasures and loud choruses, Meeks is likely the reason the resort’s country music quota is going to triple this week. He’s the guy who can make friends with a total stranger in thirty seconds and have them singing along to an Alan Jackson hit by the end of the night.

Ricardo Villarreal

Groomsman

Most people find a career path and stick to it; this guy treats airframes like a sampling platter at a buffet. He’s flown the F-16, the AC-130, and the C-146, apparently deciding that if it has wings, he’s going to try and park it. After years of being the cool guy in the cockpit, he’s now transitioned to hauling passengers in a CRJ-900 for Endeavor, while simultaneously pulling duty in the KC-46 Pegasus—because apparently, one job in the sky wasn't enough to keep him occupied. Rick is a man of high-end tastes and even higher standards. He’s the friend you call when you need to know which tequila is actually worth the price tag or which suit cut won't fail you in the Caribbean humidity. He’s spent a career navigating the clouds, but he’s just as comfortable navigating a wine list or a five-star lounge. He’s the rarest breed of pilot: one who can actually talk about something other than 'indicated airspeed' over a glass of good bourbon.

Alexander Hu

Groomsman

If you need someone to explain the aerodynamics of a Formula 1 front wing while simultaneously dismantling a plate of street tacos, Alex is your man. He’s the ultimate nerd with a surprisingly rugged edge—the kind of guy who spends his Saturday mornings at the shooting range and his Saturday nights hunting down a legendary hole-in-the-wall that serves the best brisket you’ve never heard of. Alex is a man of culture and precision. He knows exactly how to zero a red dot, which turn at Monaco is the most treacherous, and—most importantly—exactly where the Star Wars sequels went off the rails. He’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, possesses a truly alarming amount of Jedi lore, and is currently single.

Bethany El Saieh-Taghavi

Bridesmaid

Bethany has been by my side since 6th grade—and if you ever need stories from those years, she’s the keeper of all of them (but luckily for me, she’s sworn to secrecy). From our Arizona Tea and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos days to growing up together through every stage of life, she’s been a constant source of laughter, loyalty, and adventure. She spent so much time at my house that my family lovingly claimed her as our “adopted daughter,” and honestly, that’s exactly what she became. From sneaking out to parties to celebrating her bachelorette in Vegas, we’ve definitely kept life fun. Having her by my side on my wedding day feels like the most perfect full-circle moment.

Dacoda Carlson

Bridesmaid

Dacoda is my cousin and my very first partner in adventure. We spent our childhood summers exploring the Oregon wilderness—swimming in the Umpqua river, riding ATVs, and wandering through our great grandma’s backyard, all fueled by halves of watermelon our grandma would hand us before sending us out for the day. She’s been by my side since the very beginning, from those wild, carefree days to standing with me now, and that means more to me than I can put into words. She’s not just family—she’s always been a built-in best friend. Now, she’s taken on her most important role yet as an amazing mom to my handsome nephew, Landon. Watching her in this chapter of life makes me even more grateful to have her by my side today.

Ella Allen

Bridesmaid

Ella and I have known each other since middle school, but our friendship really took off freshman year—and we’ve been inseparable ever since. From taking college classes together to some unforgettable (and slightly questionable) adventures, there’s never a dull moment when we’re together. I admire her free spirit and her passion for helping others, which she carried into her AmeriCorps tour after high school. She brings so much joy and laughter into my life, and time with her is always filled with both. She’s truly a ride-or-die friend, and I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on one of the most important days of my life.

Joheira Hernandez

Bridesmaid

Jo has been there since day one—literally. She was friends with Calvin first, but it didn’t take long before she became one of my favorite people too. She was even there on the snowboarding trip where everything between Calvin and me really started, so you could say she’s been part of our story from the very beginning. Jo is the kind of person who guarantees a good time wherever she goes. She’s always smiling, always laughing, and somehow manages to bring that same energy to everyone around her. Being around her just makes everything better. These days, she’s putting that love and energy into being an amazing mom—and she truly is doing such a great job. We’re so lucky to have her support and her presence as we start this next chapter.
