They say you don't really know someone until you’ve seen them strapped into a piece of fiberglass, shivering at the top of a mountain, and collectively deciding that gravity is the enemy. We had been in the same friend circle for a while—the kind of friends who 'knew' each other but had never actually talked without five other people around. That changed during our group snowboarding trip. Between the shared chairlift rides and the mutual struggle of getting back up after a wipeout, something shifted. Somewhere between catching edges and bruising our tailbones, we realized we were having way more fun talking to each other than actually navigating the slopes. By the time we reached the bottom of the mountain on the final day, we weren't just part of the 'group' anymore. The temperature was sub-zero, but the spark was definitely there. It turns out, all we needed to fall in love was a little bit of altitude and a lot of snow in our boots. Fun fact! Below is a photo from that trip!
