The Wedding Website of Tracey Lucas and Craig Conway

Sarah Strobel

Maid of Honor

Sarah became the yin to Tracey’s yang when they worked together in theatre department of Mercyhurst Prep – Sarah backstage and Tracey onstage. When Sarah isn’t teaching Tracey the joys of terrible Christmas-themed horror movies, they are dominating Plymouth trivia together or singing NSYNC to the delight of nobody but themselves. Sarah and Tracey are the perfect wedding dates, dedicated pen pals, and fiercely loyal to Slytherin and Hufflepuff, respectively. With honesty and a nerdy reference for every occasion, Sarah will no doubt be the Maid of Honor everyone wants to have on that special day.

Thomas Green

Best Man

Tom and Craig met freshman year at Virginia Tech. Immediate friends, Tom assumed the role of the “younger brother” of the group. Despite his obvious intelligence and charm, Tom’s most appreciated quality has always been his sense of appearing lost and yet maintaining surprising comfort with uncertainty. Famous for losing his dorm key over 30 times freshman year, Tom has never let that distract him from becoming one of the most successful alumni of their class. While they're still not sure if he ever found his keys, his ever-changing eclectic hobbies continue to reflect a boyish sense of joy and life that continues to inspire. Though the competition was fierce for Best Man, Tom sealed the victory by always being available and excited to high-five life events, no matter how trivial.

Stephanie Foltzer

Bridesmaid

When Steph moved in next door to Tracey freshman year at NYU, she probably did not expect to still be stuck with her all these years later. She tried to escape their inevitable friendship by transferring colleges, but their paths crossed several years later post-grad in DC, at which point Steph willingly gave up hope of living without Tracey. Steph is now a distinguished alumna of the 2016 Lucas Victory Lap family vacation, Tracey’s emergency contact pre-Craig, and the proud owner of Tracey’s Hawaiian vacation housing. Without Steph’s consistent medical consult, Tracey probably would’ve died off a long time ago, so you have Steph to thank for this weekend’s events.

Matthew Schrettner

Groomsman

Matt and Craig were roommates for all four years of undergrad. As the comedian of the group, Matt has always been a hilarious ally in all things small and big. While his quips are rumored to “sting” on occasion, it was actually Matt who recognized a critical illness in 2008 and drove Craig to the hospital. Matt is remembered for sitting on ER floor for hours, studying for his midterm the next morning. While Matt has helped Craig numerous times over the years, he continues to inspire with his unbridled compassion he continues to show to patients on their worst days, seven days a week. As a husband and soon-to-be father of three, it's been an honor to watch Matt continue and evolve.

Elizabeth Eddy

Bridesmaid

Liz first met Tracey in 2015 at a cornhole team BBQ for a team to which Tracey did not belong. Liz made the unfortunate decision to then road trip out of state with Tracey a week later, and they have been together ever since. They’ve been to weddings and Thanksgivings together, as well as consistently mistaken for each other by various members of their DC kickball team (Tracey actually joined the team that time). Together, Liz and Tracey make up the perfect party planning committee, 2/3 of their podcast with Steph, and the perfect combination of Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope.

Stephen Yanchuk

Groomsman

Stephen and Craig met as far back as the first day of high school. As an upperclassman and one of a few serious student-athletes at their school, Stephen was one of the first to walk up to a lowly freshman and say “Hey man, let me show you something.” Stephen enjoys mentoring others across the various fields in which he excels, not the least of which is being an awesome friend. Whether it was getting Craig to actually go to Prom, or saving sunglasses from the ocean bottom years later, Stephen has a knack for always showing up at the right moment.

Haley Lucas

Bridesmaid

Haley is the younger sister of the bride and notably “Craig’s Favorite Lucas.” You’ll know which one she is because everyone tells them they look like twins, much to Haley’s chagrin. Tracey and Haley share a love of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Sara’s ice cream, and impromptu party buses in Cancun. Although Haley would rather be cuddling her siblings’ dogs Malfoy and Puddles, she has enthusiastically taken on the role of informal wedding planner, and has approved (most of) the bride’s decisions.

Timothy Causa

Groomsman

Tim and Craig met around 2011 and became fast friends over their mutual love of the outdoors. Over the last decade, Tim has babysat Craig on multiple excursions -- often being the one who remembered the fire starter or other crucial equipment. Even when Tim was busy “raising a family,” he has continued to be on the lookout -- sometimes by installing GPS and monitoring Craig remotely through grizzly country, sometimes by bringing his family to the Andes Mountains. As an incredible husband and father, Tim continues to be a terrific mentor and friend to Craig.

Isabella Rivera

Junior Bridesmaid

Bella is Tracey’s goddaughter and the perfect junior bridesmaid. Tracey met Bella’s father when they were living in DC and started hanging out with Bella over weekend coffee dates. Often referred to as “mini Tracey” by her parents, Bella enjoys ballet, mermaid blankets, and trick-or-treating as Frozen characters with the bride. When they aren’t having tea parties with their American Girls together, Bella and Tracey enjoy sending each other cards or emails and eating anything chocolate flavored.

Thomas Lucas

Groomsman

Tommy and Craig met in late 2017, with Craig's official introduction to the Lucas family. While many younger brothers could be forgiven for being skeptical of a new guy around the house, Tommy has always graciously welcomed Craig with open arms. Despite Craig's failings as a Christmas ping pong partner, Tommy has continued to be a key partner in helping and supporting the love of Craig's life. Tommy will be a terrific brother-in-law, and hopefully a cheap source of labor for incidental fence painting.

Victoria Rivera

Flower Girl

Tori is the sister of Tracey’s junior bridesmaid and a natural choice for flower girl. Tori and Tracey are both NICU-alumnae and very sassy tiny ladies, which may or may not make them a dangerous combination. When not making funny faces at each other, Tori and Tracey enjoy watching Disney movies and making silly videos.

Jack Causa

Ring Bearer

Accompanied by his father Tim Causa, Jack elevates the scene on the groom’s side. As the youngest member of the "Quincy Manor Fraternity and Expeditionary Force," Jack has already changed group excursions to the mountains for the better. Jack’s interests include dinosaurs and long days at waterparks. Rocking his suit and bowtie, Jack is sure to keep the bridesmaids enthralled on the dance floor.

Mark & Sue Lucas

Father & Mother of the Bride

Mark & Sue first met the bride in the delivery room at Hamot Hospital in late 1987. The couple subsequently spent the next 30-some years shuttling her to rehearsals around Erie, listening to her belt showtunes from her bedroom, and taking her phone calls from various locations around the world. She drained their bank accounts spending four years at NYU, made them miss a Penn State game when she was robbed abroad, and has consistently stolen their cable TV password without remorse. Mark & Sue count Tracey as definitely ranking in the top three of their children, and are beyond thrilled to hand her off to Craig on her wedding day.

Connie Conway

Mother of the Groom

Connie and Craig met in a delivery room in 1987. They were later informed this is how many mothers meet their sons. Though working nights and weekends left little time for herself, she never missed an opportunity to stay up and read to her children. While some parents have been known to skip a page to hasten bed time, Connie should be commended as one of the few parents to read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy aloud to her 8-year-old son. Though Connie continues to dedicate all of her vacation time to her children and grandchildren today, she has managed to become an accomplished painter, photographer, professional DJ (no, really though), amateur drummer, and senior staff member at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

Noelle Landers

Officiant

Noelle met Tracey at a group beach trip during the summer of 2016, where they instantly bonded over a love of Shakespeare and musicals. When Tracey brought Craig to the group later that year, Noelle enthusiastically approved after she and Craig talked about hiking for a few hours. No other person in the wedding party perfectly blends the interests of the bride and groom, as Noelle is both an annual subscriber to the Shakespeare Theatre Company in DC, as well the proud owner of a National Parks Annual Pass. She will undoubtably bring a warmth and empathy to the ceremony as the beloved officiant.
