Bicentennial Tower
Across the street from the hotel, the tower provides a birds' eye view of the city, Presque Isle, and the bay of Lake Erie. $5 admission.
Rum Runners
Walk across the street from the hotel and have a drink on the water while watching the boats come into the dock. Be careful - they'll only let you order *three* of the signature Rum Runner drinks!
Plymouth Tavern
Erie's version of the bar from Cheers, go where everybody knows your name and drink like a real Erieite. Just up State Street from the hotel, this local favorite has daily specials like quarter draughts and $1 imports. We recommend the Ecto Cooler community shots (served in mason jars) with a healthy serving of the lobby popcorn!
Sara's Restaurant
50's style diner located right at the entrance of Presque Isle State Park. This Erie tradition should be at the top of your list for lunch spots - grab a Smith's hot dog with curly fries and the orange sherbet twist for dessert!

Cleveland
90 minutes west of Erie, you'll find the home of King James. Once you're in Cleveland, check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, go shopping in Tower City Center, or ride a coaster at Cedar Point. Don't forget to grab a picture at the giant Cleveland sign downtown!
Pittsburgh
2 hours south of Erie, yinz can visit the home of the Penguins. Visitors can check out the city from the Duquesne Incline, visit the Carnegie Museum, or just have a sandwich at Primanti Bros. Whatever you decide, don't mention the Flyers or you'll end up getting thrown off one of the city's 446 bridges.
Niagara Falls
One of the seven world wonders and only 2 hours away! Definitely stay on the Canadian side and take the Hornblower cruise up close to the falls.

Up for an international road trip, eh? Less than 4 hours away, head up north for a cocktail atop the CN Tower (if you're over 19!), take in a show in the Theatre District, or check out the Hockey Hall of Fame. God save the Queen!
