Take some time to visit historic Wealthy Theater, which was constructed in 1911 as a live theater. Stop by the micro-cinema dedicated to and named in honor of Nadia's uncle, Dirk Koning - the founder of the Grand Rapids Community Media Center and one giant of a man (in stature and in life).
As you may have learned, Nadia and Caleb are big fans of beer. They couldn't have their wedding in Grand Rapids and not recommend Founders Brewing; it is after all, called Beer City! If you are unable to attend the Welcome Event on Friday, May 6th at Founders, make sure to save some time over the weekend to check this place out!
If the weather suits you well, make sure to swing by Frederik Meijer Gardens to stroll through the beautiful gardens and nature trails. You (literally) can't miss the famous Leonardo's Horse while wandering around.
If you're looking for a dimly lit place complete with arcade games, a funky vibe, and a drink that has a limit of two per person: Stella's is the place for you. Nadia and Caleb love the arcade games and constantly running 90s shows on the TV - it's the perfect spot to return you back to pixelated times.
