Deer District
This primarily outdoor complex surrounds the Fiserv Forum, the home of the Milwaukee Bucks, and is filled with restaurants and entertainment. Stop by for a drink at the beer garden, play games at Punch Bowl Social, or check out the public plaza.
Riverwalk
Milwaukee's Riverwalk extends from Humboldt Avenue in the north to the mouth of the Milwaukee and Kinnickinnic Rivers at Lake Michigan in the south. Along those few miles of river, you’ll find a continuous walkway down both sides of the shore, and a ton of bars and restaurants to replenish you when you're tired of walking.
Rent Bikes at Veterans Park
One of our favorite things to do with Caity's family is rent a surrey bike and bike up and down the lake. It's not too strenuous, so you don't need to be in workout clothes to enjoy it.
Milwaukee Public Market
Great for picking up Wisconsin souvenirs and tasting local cuisine. The public market is next to the Historic 3rd Ward, a super cool neighborhood and great location for shopping and sightseeing.
Go For A Friday Fish Fry/ Brewery Tour At Lakefront Brewery
Sit community style for a delicious Friday Fish Fry with live polka music or take their brewery tour for some laughs and great beer! Make sure to reserve a tour before going; they fill up fast on weekends.
Mexican Fiesta
Henry Maier Festival Park hosts events, concerts, and cultural festivals all summer long. Our wedding weekend happens to be the weekend of Mexican Fiesta! Celebrate the sound, culture and taste of Mexico and other Latin American countries with fun, food, Mariachi and Fiesta for everyone. The festival is open from Aug 27-29 12pm-midnight.
Milwaukee Kayak Company
Explore Downtown Milwaukee and its rivers in a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. Milwaukee Kayak Company offers daily rentals and weekly guided tours. Make sure to reserve soon if interested - they book up!
Play Golf Like the Pros on Wisconsin's Premiere Courses
Enjoy golfing on a variety of premiere courses, most notably Whistling Straits, host of the 2021 Ryder Cup in September. Whistling Straits is ~an hour north of Milwaukee and offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan.
