The day we met

Us, essentially

It was the spring of 2021 at Fremont Brewing on an unusually hot Seattle day. While he was in line for a beer, Caitie texts her friend saying "Hayden has a leg sleeve and a dog." They asked, "did he bring it with him?", to which Caitie replied "uh yeah, it's attached to his body....oh, the dog? Yes."

I love you: one

Don't call me baby, unless you mean it

When one of Caitie's favorite country artists, Luke Combs, came to town, she didn't think Hayden would want to join her. But he scalped a ticket and came anyways. Just as the rain began to fall, Hayden made his pilgramage to the otherside of the stadium. Miandering through endless rows of cowboy hats and dodging security guards, it was then he realized he would only endure this for the woman he loves. Over the deafening crowds, he whispered in her ear "I love you" and we danced to the song Better Together. To make the night more memorable, Hayden gouged his leg on a fence while exiting the stadium. Caitie lovingly replied with "when was your last tetanus shot?" and proceeded to give him his first stitches when they returned home.

Engaged on the Emerald Isle

Petting lambs and big rocks

On October 1st, 2023, we ventured to Dingle, Ireland with the Shea family. As we wandered around Dingle, Hayden with the ring secretly stashed on him at all times, we found our way into a small shop. We came out with a print of the nearby Dun Chaoin Pier, the very place Hayden would pop the question. On the last day in Dingle, we ventured out, stopping a countless times for photos, coffee, bathroom breaks, and of all things, paid to pet baby lambs (as seen in the Gallery). We finally arrive at Dun Chaoin on a perfectly sunny morning. With the lambs behind us and both Caitie and her mom completely unaware of what was about to happen, Hayden was focused in. Clever Aunty Mary figured it out and prepare with champagne and flowers ‘for her friend’. We make our way down the pier and Hayden drops the code word, "It's a good day for a Guinness", for Riley to start recording the moment. Hayden on one knee, a surprised Caitie starts saying "no-. no. no-way. no". In disbelief, she kneels and finally a big, resounding "Yes!" After missing our bike rental tour, the future Mr. and Mrs. Krall proceeded to of all things, go golfing.
