It should come as no surprise we met playing ultimate. In 2014 we were both playing for club teams in the Hartford area - Caitlyn in grad school at University of Hartford (yes she didn't go to UConn) and Brian having graduated UConn in 2012. The captains of our respective teams are married and often brought the two teams together for BBQs, parties, and post practice meals. The UConn heavy rosters of both teams meant lots of mutual friends, leading to lots of meals, conversations, and of course jokes between us.

On December 18th, 2022, we went on what Caitlyn thought was another winter hike. After finishing the 1 hour loop, Brian suggested checking out the frozen pond near the end of the hike. While Caitlyn was poking the ice, Brian was down on his knee.

1990 +++ They are born! +++ 2008 +++ Graduate high school, head to college. +++ 2010 +++ Brian gets the nickname "Torch." +++ 2011 +++ Caitlyn and her roommates get 2 hamsters named Nola and Lola. +++ 2012 +++ Caitlyn graduates University of Hartford undergrad and starts PT school. She joins CT Baywatch ultimate team. Brian graduates from University of Connecticut. He is starting his second year with CT Nightwatch ultimate team. +++ 2013 +++ Caitlyn adopts Toulouse, their cat. +++ 2014 +++ Caitlyn and Brian go on their first date to Lyman Orchards, getting lost for 45 minutes before finding each other. They start officially dating in December. +++ 2015 +++ Caitlyn graduates PT school and starts her first job in NYC. Brian continues living and working in CT. +++ 2016 +++ Caitlyn and Brian move in together in Stamford, CT. +++ 2017 +++ Caitlyn and Brian join the NYC mixed ultimate team - XIST. They get their first dog, Olive. +++ 2019 +++ They buy their first house! They get their second dog, Pim. +++ 2022 +++ On December 18th, Brian proposed. Caitlyn said yes. +++ 2023 +++ August 18th - the wedding!!!
