Our goal is to focus on the safety of the guests, but to also have an experience that will allow us to have the day we envisioned. Vaccinations or a negative Covid test will be required to attend, as is expected by CA law for an event of over 100 people. A Negative Covid test must be valid from 3 days prior to the event. Please plan accordingly, and be prepared to show proof to our venue. The majority of the events will be outdoors to comply with CA Covid guidelines. We do ask that you bring a mask with you for your safety and a courtesy to other guests.
FORMAL BLACK TIE (encouraged)! We know, we're fancy. For men: Tuxedos are strongly encouraged, but not required. If you absolutely cannot dress in black tie, the following is appropriate: -Dark suit and tie. -Black, charcoal grey or navy blue suit with dark tie (tie and jacket required). -No jeans, khakis/chinos, or other similarly casual dress is allowed. -No light-colored suits. For the ladies: Floor-length gowns are expected and requested, but not required. -If you cannot dress in black tie gown, formal attire is appropriate. Make sure you're still dressed for evening. -Sun dresses, prints and most pastels will be out of place at a formal wedding. Still unsure of what to wear, or if what you're wearing will be appropriate? Reach out to Caitlin at any time so she can provide you with some guidance.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! With this being a black tie wedding, we want to let you get fancy and loose without worrying about bedtimes! No persons under 21.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Yes! We want to ensure that our guests can arrive in style and leave safely. We will be doing a pick-up spot at the Carmel Plaza in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and at the Monterey Hyatt (where we have a hotel block) at 3:30. The busses will be leaving at 3:45 pm sharp. We encourage all our guests to utilize this transportation. Following the reception, we will provide transportation to two drop-off spots. The first will be at the Carmel Plaza (where the after party is--see "Schedule" for more info!), and the second will be at the Monterey Hyatt. Please review “Travel”, and scroll to the bottom of the page for more details.
Yes! There is plenty of parking behind the venue. There will be signs to guide you as soon as you arrive. We do, however, encourage you to take advantage of our shuttle to and from the venue for easy, free, and safe transportation. Please review “transportation” for more details!
Summer can be in high demand for the Carmel/Monterey area. We've done our due diligence to find accommodations that are cost-efficient. Most hotels in Carmel-By-the-Sea do not offer blocked rooms, and so we have a room block at the Monterey Hyatt. Look under "Travel" for our suggestions on inexpensive favorites. *PLEASE be sure to book quickly, as the prices will rise and we want to make sure you have a place to stay!
