Matron of Honor
We have been friends since freshman year in college – 13 years ago! Yikes, we're old. We were the two that everyone had to be wary of because we always made the shenanigans happen. From college football games to Phoenix Comicon, we always find a way to act silly and not have a care in the world! I know we'll always be friends forever and I will always be grateful for our friendship that we've developed over the years.
Best Man
Roman and I go wayyyyyy back! Back to the days of being in bands and playing live shows fresh outta highschool which is, incidentally, how we met. Our band may not have become famous but that didn't matter because we continued to spend time together inside and outside of music and boy did we write some beautiful music. Roman and I were such homies that we left Arizona for Texas and spent two unforgettable years as room mates, though life would eventually cause us to settle down a thousand miles apart from each other as we are today. After all we've been though, this guy is my Best Man AND best friend because he has always been there for me, has a heart the size of the state I live in, and a loyalty stronger than vibranium.
Bridesmaid
Future sister-in-law!! I am so lucky that I get to call her that! Shea and I have known each other for 5 years, and even though we live in different states now, I know we'll always be close. From dancing like lunatics, watching and quoting all the vines on YouTube, and making fun of Jason all the time, there is never a dull moment between us. Shea is a beautiful person on the inside and out, and I'm looking forward to calling her my family finally.
Groomsman
Now here's a guy who knows how to have a good time, and that's a good thing because so do I! In fact, it's probably why we get along so well. Jake and I both share a love for the outdoors and he is a blast to hang out with. We could be off-roading in the desert, fishing, jetskiing, hiking, shooting guns, you name it and Jake will be right there tearing it up with you. I have to specifically thank my sister for marrying him and bringing him into my life.
Bridesmaid
Oh man, where to begin?? Lizzerling and I have been friends for 4 years now and we have done nothing but cause trouble wherever we go. We're always laughing at something and make Jason nervous whenever we suddenly start whispering to each other. I'm always thankful for our friendship and I can't wait to see how we'll be years from now!
Groomsman
Dakota is many, many things to me but more than anything he is someone I look up to. When I first joined graduate school he was my mentor and colleague and he was damn good at it. Much of my success today I can directly attribute to his guidance. He and I turned out to have a lot in common and it wasn't long before we were going out to bars to taste-test craft beers, grilling out eating some of his famous brisket and throwing house parties playing slip-n'-flip. Basically if I was doing something fun outside of research, Dakota was a part of it. I can't even begin to image how different my time in graduate school would have been without him.
Bridesmaid
Helena and I met back when Jason first joined graduate school in 2015. We were super quiet around each other, but once we started to know each other better, we've had non-stop conversations full of chisme and laughter. It makes me so happy that we've become closer over the last couple years and I can't wait to see where our future leads us!

Picture this; Joker, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, and Harley Quinn wreaking havoc at Sky Harbor airport waiting for the Riddler to arrive. That was the first time Caitlin introduced me to her best friend Mark at Phoenix Comicon 2016. Mark and I were pretty much destined to become friends when you consider how much we both love playing video games and being sarcastic to people we're close to. Mark is also very easy to talk to and very passionate about the things he cares strongly about and I've always enjoyed listening. Since Mark lives so far away we have been integrating him into our online video game platforms so he can no longer escape and has to hang out with us virtually.
