FAQs

Question

What measures are you taking due to COVID-19?

Answer

You will receive another email update soon, rest assured that wee are taking multiple measures to address potential infection risks. At minimum, we anticipate adjusting the eating format, requiring masks, and decreasing the guest count from 125 to fewer than 50 people.

Question

Will I be required to quarantine before or after the wedding?

Answer

Before the wedding, we aren't requiring that you quarantine, but we kindly ask that you take precautions for the benefit of all guests - wear a mask if you don't usually, avoid other large events, etc. After the wedding, please follow guidelines recommended by CDC or your state. https://bit.ly/2Zlb808

Question

When should I plan to arrive in Ithaca?

Answer

The shuttles will leave at 3:45pm on Saturday from Ithaca Commons to the Nicholson's house. If you choose not to use the shuttles, we recommend you leave Ithaca no later than 3:45pm as well, because the ceremony starts promptly at 4:30.

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

Ideally stay within walking distance of the Ithaca Commons, as all wedding events (welcome drinks, shuttles to the ceremony / reception, afterparty) are there. We have a block at the Marriott in the Commons, and there are many hotel and AirBnBs nearby. If you choose to stay elsewhere, there are some ubers, but keep in mind that wait times can be 10-15 minutes.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Keep in mind the ceremony is on grass and a hill, the reception is in an open-air tent.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We will have shuttles with ample space to physically distance leaving from Ithaca Commons at 3:45pm, and returning back to the Commons at the end of the reception. If you're driving, you can park on Smuggler's Path - just before the Nicholson's house, you'll see a gravel road to the right, park there! Uber typically runs in Ithaca, but has been unavailable while students haven't been in town this summer. You can consider this mode of transport, but don't rely on it.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:30 sharp, so arrive no later than 4:15.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome at our wedding however there will not be child care services at the venue and we can't promise how child-proof it is.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

There will be a chance to tell your server before food comes out. Reception food will be adjusted to your needs.
