Travel Note

Event Information

*A note about the Ceremony (5:15-5:45): Life happens, and if you happen to be late, don’t stress! Simply find a spot to sit or stand at the back of the peristyle to avoid disrupting the ceremony. * Notes about Cocktails, Photos, and Shoutouts (5:45-630): 1. We will have light snacks, beer, wine, and water for you to enjoy while our DJ plays music! 2. A special request from the couple- please stop by the arbor to say hi and take a photo with us. We want to make sure we capture a moment with each of you! 3. Our videographer will record guest shoutouts—find them to say hello on camera! *First Dance Under the Peristyle (6:30-6:35): 1. We will have our first dance under the peristyle after we've finished taking photos with you. 2. We have choreographed a special dance. *Notes about the Second Line (6:35-7:00): 1. During the Second Line, we will follow a band from the peristyle on a short route around the park. The route will be approximately half a mile and will lead us to the Reception. 2. If you prefer to join just the last part of the second line or minimize walking, feel free to wait at the Peristyle. We’ll loop back there, and from there it’s only a 5-minute walk to the reception. 3. We’ll walk on the sidewalk and grass, so bring comfy shoes (low heels, flats or sneakers). *Notes about the Reception (7:00-10:00): 1. We will offer passed hors d’oeuvres, a buffet-style dinner and an open bar. 2. The reception will feature speeches from the wedding party, special dances and a gator toss. Yes, a GATOR toss, not a garter toss ;) 3. The bride and groom will lead guests in an apron dance. Feel free to bring your dollar bills to dance with the bride and/or groom.
