Question

Is the wedding happening in 2021?

Answer

Yes, it is happening on June 19, 2021 which is a Saturday. See updated schedule as the timing has changed.

Question

Can Americans travel to Italy?

Answer

Not exactly, but things will change on June 1st and again on Jun 15th. Currently, the EU has publicly stated they want to open to "vaccinated" Americans, an official declaration has not been made, but we are recommending that if you want to come that you get a refundable ticket soon, and if they don't open in time then you can exchange. Waiting until they announce and then expecting to find an airfare may not work out so well.

Question

Are we still having the wedding in 2020?

Answer

The answer is no, we are planning to postpone until 2021 and this page now reflects that. The new date is June 19, 2021. Sorry for any inconvenience, all of the events have changed to reflect this postponement.

Question

What about the COVID-19 situation?

Answer

This is a very sad circumstance, and we are paying close attention to how this pandemic develops internationally. IF we change our plans, the decision will be made early May, and we will work on rescheduling for next year about the same time. Should we choose to do so, we will reach out to everyone ASAP.

Question

Ma e' tutto in inglese?!?

Answer

Cari amici e parenti italiani, grazie per la pazienza!!! Siamo ben consapevoli che la maggior parte del sito e' in inglese ma gli ospiti stranieri hanno bisogno di qualche indicazione in piu' per venire a festeggiare con noi.

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

Fly into a major hub in Europe first: London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, Dublin, or even Rome. Then Fly into either: Orio al Serio (BGY), Malpensa (MXP), or Linate (LIN). Orio al Serio is the closest to Bergamo and logistically the easiest.

Question

What should I do while I'm in Italy?

Answer

Go see Italy, anywhere you've ever wanted. While you're there, drink coffee, eat pastries, enjoy streets older than your grandparents, and visit places within a culture that predates anything in America no matter where you look.

Question

Where is the nearest Olive Garden?

Answer

If you ever ask this in Italy they DEPORT YOU IMMEDIATELY!! If you try to order Chicken Parmigiana anywhere, you're probably going to get accosted in public by the Pope.

Question

Where shall we eat then?

Answer

As a rule of thumb, Italians do not have dinner before 7:30 pm in the North and it gets later as you go South. So if a restaurant is open at 5:30 pm, most probably it is a tourist trap!! If you are hungry at 5 pm, have a snack, there are plenty of bakery, patisserie and homemade gelato shops ready to save you from starvation!!

Question

What about getting married in the US?

Answer

Due to the pandemic, we delayed the wedding a year which we hope will allow many more people to plan and be able to show up. We have canceled the US wedding because we have decided to perform a small civil ceremony at home on the date we intended to get married originally. These decisions were made to simplify things for us and help us move forward at the time we really wanted to.
