Stay

As this is a destination wedding, we want to be mindful of everyone’s budget and travel preferences. We’ve found that booking an Airbnb or Vrbo can often be a more affordable and flexible option! To help with planning, here are some great areas to stay near the festivities: Condado, Isla Verde (shuttles provided), Old San Juan (close to venue), and Santurce. Our wedding group will be staying in Isla Verde, next to the SuperMax. **There have been renovations going on at different hotels around San Juan. Please check with the hotel before booking.** Budget-Friendly Hotel Options: • Verdanza Hotel – Isla Verde • Courtyard by Marriott – Isla Verde • Casa Blanca Hotel – Old San Juan • Hilton Garden Inn – Condado Additional Hotel Options: • Fairmont El San Juan – Isla Verde • Royal Sonesta – Isla Verde • Vanderbilt Hotel – Condado • Marriott Resort & Casino – Condado • La Concha – Condado • Caribe Hilton – Condado • Alma – Old San Juan • El Convento – Old San Juan • Hotel Palacio Provincial – Old San Juan We’re so excited to celebrate with you—wherever you choose to stay! We encourage you to begin tracking flights and lodging options starting in early November. To get the best rates, we highly recommend booking no later than the week before Christmas. Let us know if you have any questions—we’re happy to help!

Transportation

There will be transportation provided to the Ceremony on Saturday. Check out FAQs for more info. PR has Uber, Lyft (less available), and taxis. Be mindful of wait-times. If you are coming for a longer vacation and would like to explore more of PR, then there are several affordable rental car companies at the airport, or in Isla Verde (Charlies, Payless).

Travel Note

Cash vs CC

While a lot of places use credit cards, it is best to carry cash if you would like to buy from street vendors (some use venmo/zelle). A lot of places DENY American Express (AMEX) so plan accordingly.
