Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

At this time, we are planning on the following: - a Welcome Dinner on the 30th to avoid trying to buy out fancy New Years Eve parties - an After Party at a bar near the hotel blocks - a Brunch at the main hotel block on the 2nd There are some rooms in the blocks available from the 30th to the 3rd to accommodate very out of town guests that want to take advantage of being in the NYC area during New Years (see "Travel & Accommodations"). If they are not available when you book, please reach out to us so we can coordinate with the hotels. For those who want to have an adventure on the 31st, we have some recommended things to do based on what we love in the area in "Things To Do".

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the "Travel and Accommodations" page for hotel block details. We expect the hotel blocks will be taken up by the wedding party and out of town family/friends primarily, but, if you're here for a good time and not a short time, by all means! Please book your hotel stay in one of our blocks before December 2026 for the ideal experience.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The only "kids" will be the groom's niece and nephew (one of them is not a kid anymore). If you have not explicitly been told that your kids can come, your kids can't come. They'll probably find all of the talking boring anyway. Please let us know if you are running into issues with childcare and we will be happy to work with you to make sure you can enjoy your time at our wedding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have given select individuals plus ones, which we will let them know about separately well ahead of time. If you are not one of those, we do apologize. If there is a significant other we may be forgetting when we send save the dates, do let us know.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have an allergy and we will work to assure you have at least one suitable plated food option. There will also be an option for listing out food allergies in the wedding weekend survey and when RSVPing to the wedding, and the list will be passed along to the chef for accommodations.

Question

I don't have an invitation. What gives?

Answer

If you have received a Save the Date, check your email! To save the trees, we did away with paper invitations and sent invitations to the emails collected with the Save the Dates and the wedding survey.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than November 20th, 2026. The RSVP date will also be on your invitation.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Ideally formal or black tie optional (Jaime's dad is dusting off the tux). We are planning on somehow combining both modern NYC chic with hints of vintage flair to commemorate our swing dancing beginnings. But if your wardrobe is better suited for semi-formal, the most important part is having you.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Zola is primarily handling our registry, so please go to the Registry tab to see what we would like. Since we have lived together for 8+ years, we already have a lot of home goods, so please feel free to contribute to one of our many funds if you do not see a home good you would want to (or cannot for budget reasons) purchase.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at or close to 5 pm ahead of the ceremony start time of 5:30 pm. There will be a shuttle from the hotel to the venue that will leave at 4:30 pm. Please check the Travel tab for more tips and tricks for getting to the venue on time!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

The beauty of choosing a NJ location, folks! Yes, you can drive and park at the wedding location. The venue offers self-parking and valet. Additionally, if you are not in a state to drive at the end of the night, please leave your car and take the shuttle with us to the hotel. You can pick up your car the next day. We do not advise leaving your car otherwise, as the hotel will be at least a 15 minute drive from the venue.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Please arrive at the shuttle no later than 4:30 pm so that it can arrive at the venue on time. If you are traveling from New York City, PATH transportation details can be found in the "Travel & Accommodations" tab.
