Flight

Keflavik International Airport (KEF)

This is the best place to fly into. The airport is about 90 minutes away from downtown Reykjavik. You can book seats in an airport shuttle that will take you to drop-off points across the city.

Hotel

Hotel and Accomodation

We recommend finding a spot near downtown Reykjavik. Hotels and Airbnb are comparable in price. This cozy city is pedestrian-friendly so you won't need a car here. If you plan on exploring outside of the city you can join daily tours or rent a car. When booking your accommodation in Iceland we would like to ask you to use the link below, it is embedded with information about our wedding planner. We would also like to point you in the direction of one of Iceland’s best hotel chains: www.keahotels.is where you can use discount code pinkiceland to get an exclusive discount off their online prices.

Travel Note

Covid-19

Iceland has a 79.2% vaccination rate and are welcoming visitors back to their shores. Check local Icelandic guidelines and CDC recommendations for updates and developments. Check the FAQ page for some helpful details to get you started.

Returning Home

On March 28, travelers to the US still must secure a negative Covid test not more than 24 hours before a flight home. Specifics on the types of acceptable test and requirements can be found on the CDC's website. Here is a link to just some Covid testing in Iceland, you will need to schedule your date/time if you use this center. Your hotel will likely also be able to guide you if you have any questions.
