WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Burcu and Travis met on New Years' Eve 2015 through a mutual friend and reconnected a few months later when Travis whisked Burcu away from the city on a mountainous hike that included gas station cheesesteaks. This first date blossomed into a long-distance relationship for years between exploring NYC and long walks on the beach. Our first international trip, in 2017, was spent in Iceland. Our rental van (we named her Freja) served as a trusty chariot, command center, dining room, AND cozy accommodation. It meant that we quickly got to learn each other's quirks as we set out on our first adventure as a team. Travis stopped to take all the photos, Burcu stopped to befriend every horse. In April 2020, for a 5th anniversary, Travis took Burcu to Newport, Rhode Island where he asked her to forge a life together forever. Travis got on one knee and Burcu said yes without hesitation. Almost 6 years after that first date adventure, Burcu and Travis are living together in Harrison, NJ and patiently waiting for a future forever home. It is here where we have enjoyed many Red Bulls soccer games and job changes. And now we look forward to bringing our closest family and friends together at one of our favorite locations in the world to celebrate our commitment to one another!
