Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is "nice casual." We want everyone to wear what makes them comfortable and feel good. Dresses, sundresses or pants with a collared shirt or blouse are recommended. Please no shorts.

Question

What about footwear?

Answer

The ground is uneven, and although the vegetation will be mowed, it will not be a kept lawn. Heels are not recommended. Flats, low chunky heels, or low espadrilles will be best.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Generally, the weather in June is warm and dry. There are often short thunderstorms in the afternoon (these often miss the cabin, but you never know). The weather cools down quickly after the sun sets. If you plan to celebrate after dark with us, consider bringing a sweater or light jacket.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The wedding ceremony begins at 4:00 pm, so plan to be at the venue at least one hour ahead of time to give you time to park and get settled in.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is at the property next to ours and will be indicated with signs. There will be transportation from the parking area to the venue if desired.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible but no later than June 1, 2021. Please RSVP on our website.

Question

How accessible is the ceremony and reception venue?

Answer

The ceremony and venue are very accessible. The venue driveway is directly off of US Highway 287 south. Please contact us directly if you have concerns about mobility and access. We have a plan to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

We will provide a buffet with all the fixings for burritos and tacos. Gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options are available. Beer, wine, cider, White Claw, soda, La Croix, and other non alcoholic beverages will be available. We will also have a few signature cocktails with hard alcohol.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will only be provided from the parking area to the venue. Please ensure you have a safe plan to get to your accommodations or plan to camp on the wedding venue the night of.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We want to encourage everyone to enjoy the moment rather than capture the moment. Please no cell phones or pictures during the ceremony. Thereafter, please feel free to take pictures. If you chose to post them please tag Brett and I so we can share in the fun. We will share our professional photos after the wedding.

Question

Is there wifi and cell service at the venue?

Answer

Plan to unplug and enjoy the day with us. There is spotty cell service and no internet at the venue.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding is kid friendly. We want everyone to take part in our special day.

Question

I am worried about COVID-19 should I still come?

Answer

Our wedding venue is outdoors and social distancing can be observed. Masks may be worn as a personal preference. We have invited a total of 60 people to our wedding. We expect about 40-50. If that many people RSVP, we will get a bigger tent and two additional tables, to make sure there is extra space available. Please contact us if you have any specific concerns. We want everyone to feel comfortable and remain healthy and safe.

Question

Are last names changing after the wedding?

Answer

We are both keeping our last names at this time. Both of us have built careers and have professional licenses in our unmarried names.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Bring some dancing shoes. We will have dancing after dinner! Please make sure to list some song requests on your RSVPs.

Question

Should I give a toast?

Answer

We have requested toasts from a few people. If you would like to give a toast, please reach out to Brett or Sarah to discuss.

Question

When do we eat?

Answer

Dinner will follow the ceremony and everyone will be able to eat between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

Question

Will you be streaming the wedding for folks who can't come?

Answer

We are looking into streaming options. We are unsure this will be possible due to limited internet service. Check back closer to the wedding date and we will be able to give a definitive answer.
