No! Given that Midnight Ranch is located in a rather remote and unpopulated area, there are not many standard hotel options nearby, so please feel free to stay wherever works best for you and your party. Please see our Travel page for many excellent suggestions! Definitely consider booking ASAP to ensure you have your first choice!
The most economical option will certainly be flying into Denver International Airport which is about a 3 hours and 30 minutes drive from the area of the wedding, so will obviously necessitate a rental car reservation for our out of town guests. It is possible to fly into Steamboat Spring's small local airport, but this will certainly be much more costly.
Unfortunately, due to both availability and budgetary restrictions, we are not able to provide shuttle service for our guests between Midnight Ranch and the nearby lodging options of Glen Eden Resort and Hahn's Peak Roadhouse. Please plan ahead to identify a designated driver, car pool, or plan to drink very responsibly. We don't want anyone putting themselves at risk driving late at night on curvy country roads under the influence! Thank you all for helping us make this a safe and happy party!
Unfortunately due to limitations in the number of guests we are able to invite as well as budget restrictions, we are unable to extend invitations to children at this time. We had to make this tough decision so as to maximize the number of adults we could invite. The exception to this request applies to young infants and immediate family members, who have already been formally invited on our save the dates and invitations. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
Fortunately, Midnight Ranch is the perfect all inclusive wedding venue site Bryn and Sean were hoping for! There are three homes on the property where Bryn, Sean, and some of their friends and family will be staying for the wedding weekend. If you would be interested in staying in an RV, airstream camper, etc, please let us know because this is allowed at the venue!
Bryn's first rule of travel: never go anywhere without a swim suit! Other than that, obviously you will need to bring your lovely cocktail attire outfit to wear to the wedding and reception. Keep in mind, though we will be hoping for lovely, warm sunny days, even with good weather the nights at 8000ft elevation can get quite chilly. So definitely plan to bring LAYERS. Of course the Colorado wilderness surrounding the area is brimming with amazing hikes and other outdoor adventures to enjoy, so plan to bring hiking gear etc if you plan to enjoy the great outdoors too!
Unfortunately, our venue only allows the bride and groom's dog to stay at the ranch and attend the wedding. Apparently there were some issues in the past with "roving hoards of dogs" - Steve's words, not ours! Please plan to make arrangements for your dog to stay home or board somewhere. Sorry!
For our guests who will be staying at Midnight Ranch, there are multiple bathrooms available. For the day of the wedding and reception, portable restrooms will be provided. If you are thinking of staying on the ranch property in an RV, it will need to have its own shower/toilet facilities as the ranch's septic system will not be able to handle additional guests.
Part of the beauty of Midnight Ranch is the quiet, and peaceful remoteness of the location! This means there will be no cellular or internet service at the ranch, so please use the day as a rare opportunity to go "off the grid", set your phone aside, and unwind! Of course, when you get back to civilization, please post away using our wedding hashtag (#Brynzilla)!
Please dress in your favorite cocktail attire for the wedding ceremony and reception! Be prepared that there will be some walking required between the ceremony site and reception tent (with obvious exceptions made for those with limited mobility), so ladies, save the stiletto heels for a different party and opt for comfortable shoe options or a thicker heel! We are hoping for beautiful warm Colorado fall weather, meaning sunny warm days, but chilly nights, so be sure to bring layers for when it gets cold! The tent will have 2 propane heaters, so should be cozy!
