Travel Note

Camp with us!

If hotels aren’t your thing, or even if they are, we encourage bringing a camper or RV. We’ll have plenty of space available on the property, and we’d love for guests to stay on-site so you can relax, celebrate late into the night, and not worry about the drive home. Even if you’re local, you’re more than welcome to bring a camper and enjoy a stress-free evening with us. Think of it as a little post-wedding campout with friends and family!

Timberland Motel

We’ve reserved a small group block at a local motel under “MacRae and Thiessen Wedding.” It’s a 7-10 minute drive from the ceremony and reception area. The group block applies to the night of September 12th only, with 8 rooms available total (4 queen rooms at $129 + tax and 4 two-bed rooms at $139 + tax). If you need additional nights, please contact the motel directly to check availability. To book, call (306) 469-4888 and mention the “MacRae and Thiessen Wedding.” The block will be held until August 12th, so we recommend booking early.

If you’re hoping for a little more space, there are a few Airbnb options available in and around Big River. We aren’t coordinating or reserving any houses or cabins, so availability may be limited. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we suggest booking ahead and checking details directly with airbnb.
