Fly to Florence
We are working on gathering all the important travel details to help make your trip to Italy as smooth and stress-free as possible! - Recommended flights into Florence Airport (FLR) – the most convenient airport for reaching our venue. Best time to buy flights is in October and November of 2025 & January and February of 2026! - Nearby Cities: Florence (of course), Siena (closest town to the wedding), Lucca, San Gimignano, and Pisa - Transportation tips – You will need an airport shuttle or taxi once you land. Once you are inside of Florence, you walk EVERYWHERE! However, you will need to take a taxi if you want to visit the wineries in Tuscany. There are awesome excursions as well. Day of the wedding, we will be providing transportation for those who stay inside of Florence, only. - Currency & payment tips – Italy uses the Euro; cards are widely accepted but cash is helpful for small shops. - Suggested arrival and departure dates – to help you enjoy the wedding weekend stress-free: We recommend arriving in Florence by September 12th to settle in and join the welcome gathering on September 13th. If you’d like to explore Tuscany or other nearby cities, feel free to arrive earlier and make a full vacation out of it! Highly encourage to do so! YOU'RE IN ITALY BABY! Most of our family will be staying in Florence until September 18th. We will be flying out on September 18th to Germany for Oktoberfest on the 19th. YES, PLEASE JOIN IF YOU CAN! Most important for now: Please plan to fly into Florence Airport (FLR) — it’s the closest and easiest option for reaching our wedding location. We’ll keep updating this section with helpful info and links as we get closer to the big day.
