Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into Florence Airport (FLR) – it’s the most convenient option and closest to the wedding venue.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’re putting together a list of hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs in the area (You can see the Travel Tab for recommendations). If you're traveling with a group, we highly recommend renting a villa or apartment. We will be providing transportation on the day of the Wedding for people staying in Italy since it is an hour away but the closest town is Siena, Italy. Plenty of hotels and airbnb's in that area! Siena is a 30 minute drive away from the villa Florence is 1 hour and 5 minutes away from the villa After the wedding on the 15th, Bryce and Sonya will be heading back to Florence, Italy to vacation if you plan on staying in Italy after the wedding and want to tag along for the rest of the week with them.

Question

Where is the Wedding Located?

Answer

The wedding will take place in Tuscany, Italy. It's about an hour away from Florence, Italy. The exact location is Pietraviva. This is a small village in the town of Bucine, Italy. Bucine is in the Province of Arezzo. This  Province is about an hour (by car) southeast of Florence, Italy. There is also regular train service from Florence to Arezzo. It will be held at a private villa called Villa Spadaforte in the Tuscan countryside in the Garden area. Full address is provided on the invitations. Here is their instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/villaolimpiatoscana/

Question

What's the Attire?

Answer

Garden Formal (Semi-formal/Cocktail Attire) Think flowy dresses, summer suits, and shoes suitable for grass or cobblestone. Wear comfortable shoes ladies!! Recommend low heels or flats since we will be in grass. Please refrain from wearing any color close to white, Ivory or Beige. Be colorful and LOOK YOUR BEST SELF! LOTS of photos to be taken!! Thank you! Here is a link for guest inspo: https://pin.it/2FqfcjH6o

Question

What are the wedding dates?

Answer

Our wedding will take place on September 14th, 2026, with welcome activities and casual gatherings planned the day before on September 13th, 2026.

Question

Will there be other events besides the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’re planning a welcome gathering the day before (09.13.2026) with food and drinks at the Villa the wedding will be occurring at. Details will be posted here as we finalize plans.

Question

What if I can’t make it to Italy?

Answer

While we’ll miss your presence deeply on our wedding day, we completely understand that international travel isn’t possible for everyone. You will truly be missed!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving in Florence by September 12th to settle in and join the welcome gathering on September 13th. That means booking your flight on the 11th to arrive into Italy on the 12th! If you’d like to explore Tuscany or other nearby cities, feel free to arrive earlier and make a full vacation out of it! Highly encourage to do so! YOU'RE IN ITALY BABY!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We’re working on organizing a shuttle or transportation plan for the day of the wedding if you are staying in Florence and possibly for other group events. More details to come — but taxis and rental cars are also available in Florence. I highly suggest to book your taxi in advance or booking a rental car in advance as well. Uber & Lyft do NOT work in Italy.

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided (April 30th, 2026), it will automatically be marked as "not attending". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

Absolutely! Your kids deserve to explore the world too! We love the little ones.

Question

What will the Weather be like?

Answer

Tuscany in September is warm and beautiful, with average temperatures in the high 70s°F (25°C) during the day and cooler in the evenings. We recommend bringing layers and comfortable shoes for walking. You do a LOT of walking!

Question

Do I need a passport or visa?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required to travel to Italy. For U.S. citizens, no visa is required for stays under 90 days. Please make sure your passport is up to date!

Question

What’s the best way to communicate in Italy?

Answer

Wi-Fi is widely available and international plans from most carriers work well. We also recommend downloading WhatsApp for group communication and Google Translate or Duolingo for quick Italian help. This helped Sonya and Bryce out on their last trip to Florence in 2023!

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus-one, you’ll see their name on the envelope and RSVP. Due to the intimate nature of our wedding, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed — thank you for understanding!

Question

What's the best airline to fly into Europe?

Answer

We personally really enjoyed Lufthansa and United! I highly suggest to track prices on flights on google or in your credit card travel account.

Question

Will the Ceremony and Reception be outdoors?

Answer

YES! Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors in the garden area of Villa Spadaforte. Please plan for grass, gravel, and uneven pathways, and bring layers for cooler evening temperatures. It's quite hot during the day!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive 30–45 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, seating, and navigating villa pathways. Give you time to find your seats and settle in.

Question

Are the events indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Most events will be held outdoors (weather permitting). If rain should occur, the villa has a beautiful indoor alternative space. The dancing will be indoors with open sliding doors to go in and out from the tables to the dance floor.

Question

What should I wear to the Welcome Night?

Answer

For the welcome gathering (Sept 13), attire is casual Tuscan chic: flowy summer dresses, linen sets, sandals, relaxed elegance.

Question

Will there be an Open Bar?

Answer

Yes! However, it will only serve vodka lemon, vodka tonic, gin lemon, gin tonic, cuba libre, mojito, americano and negroni. The open bar does NOT include tequila, whiskey, or similar spirits. If you prefer tequila or a specific liquor, you are welcome to bring your own bottle. Italy does not have many high-volume options for tequila, so if that’s your go-to, we highly recommend packing a bottle in your checked luggage in a protective wine/liquor travel sleeve like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09P7XHPSG Bryce's parents have used these for years and never had an issue! When you arrive, you can give your labeled bottle to the bartender (with your name on it). They will serve it only to you and your group. For the Apterift + Dinner, there will be Hugo Spritz, beer, and 1 bottle of Red/White Wines for every 3 people that will keep on going.

Question

Who do I contact if I have travel delays or wedding-day issues?

Answer

Please contact Bryce or our wedding coordinator (TBD) for any travel delays or day-of questions. Additional contact information will be provided once we have full confirmation. Sonya will be getting ready and will not have access to her phone on the wedding day.

Question

Can I post photos of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony — no phones or cameras until after the “I do” moment. After that, feel free to take photos and share! We’d love for you to tag us. We want to see EVERYTHING! Wooo

Question

Will there be vegetarian/gluten-free options?

Answer

Yes — the dinner will include options for common dietary needs. Please let us know your restrictions on your RSVP form.

Question

Will the venue have WiFi?

Answer

Yes, the villa has WiFi, but speeds may be slower due to the rural location.

Question

Can we drink the tap water?

Answer

Yes — tap water in Italy is generally safe to drink, but many guests prefer bottled water for convenience. We fill up our water bottles from a water fountain in the streets! Totally okay.

Question

What should I pack for Italy?

Answer

Short packing list: Comfortable walking shoes - Light jackets for evenings - Travel adapters (European Type C/E plugs) (YOU CAN BUY THESE ON AMAZON) Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/European-Adapter-TESSAN-Outlets-International/dp/B0B27HX6P7/ref=sr_1_3?crid=26K3M04GCY1RM&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.6LXqEsamPm81U_F8KbImxS1ILVMenOAfH_t7CAPaiKLOElZ7xrRwdr6dkaxRW1_7K3WlZRLQuuu4eodAMRWKG_dItCMPwyfChNRlKRrLhgUKcSWolVXDUYhBF6Qv5jK5CJ8TQdXGnch9c189wOMjBVDhuECjSJBhFY-uBjnNZaJIXF3HApUzw_LXtWLWajmahOzZ60Gma2n1sfPVgC3NnjjI2aZS9SO-TIo2hdtnyyY.HZSJUZz4agIJGeWyckiguT_TbEqLVaW6e5hnAfoxDvU&dib_tag=se&keywords=italy+adapter+plug&qid=1764869479&sprefix=Italy+adapt%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-3 - Sunscreen - Portable fan - Bug spray - Cash Euros (for taxis)
