Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Calley Gautschi and Bryan Teisl
We're excited to share a few of our favorite spots in the area with you!

Silver Dollar & Murray Lake Trail

Silverthorne, CO

One of our favorite hikes is Silver Dollar and Murray Lake Trail (pictured above)! Located about 1.5 hours outside of Denver, near Silverthorne, CO, Silver Dollar and Murray Lake Trail has views of 3 beautiful lakes, evergreen trees, and wildflowers. This is a 4-mile out-and-back hike with about 1,000ft of elevation gain. It's moderately challenging, but worth every step!

Honey Elixir Bar

2636 Walnut Street, Denver, CO 80205

Enjoy a cocktail at one of our favorite spots (and the location of our second date!). Honey Elixir is off of Larimer street, which hosts dozens of other fantastic bars and restaurants!

Mount Falcon Park - Morrison Trailhead

3852 Vine Street, Morrison, CO 80465

Mount Falcon Park has great hiking with dozens of trails ranging from easy to moderate! Sitting right next to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, you'll enjoy amazing views before heading down into Morrison for a brew or two!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

303-319 Colorado 8, Morrison, CO 80465

Catch a concert or enjoy sunrise yoga/hiking at Red Rocks!

Argo Gold Mill and Tunnel

2350 Riverside Drive, Idaho Springs, CO 80452

Visit the beginning of Colorado's Gold Rush in Idaho Springs! Take a tour through the Argo Mill, into the tunnel, and pan for gold while learning about the rich history of this picturesque mountain town. Bryan and Calley have both taken this tour and loved it! The tour is appropriate for all ages, but be advised that you'll be walking through a mill that is over 100 years old. While updates have been made for safety, the tour still contains steep wooden stairs and walking on uneven ground. Comfortable, close-toed walking shoes and a light jacket are advised.

Lucile's Creole Cafe

999 East Evans Avenue, Denver, CO 80210

Craving some shrimp and grits, dirty rice, or a beignet? Head to Lucile's! This is the one restaurant in the area that we will gladly wait an hour for. There are several Lucile's locations around Denver, so feel free to go to whichever one is closer to you! Call ahead or make a reservation if you can.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

2001 Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80205

If you're looking for something to do indoors that's fun and educational, visit the Denver Museum of Nature and Science! With everything from dinosaurs to space to the history of the Colorado area, DMNS has something for everyone! It's highly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance; tickets for general admission and specific exhibits can be purchased at the link below.

Coors Brewery Tour

502 14th Street, Golden, CO 80401

Enjoy a few tasty brews at the Coors Brewery in Downtown Golden! Nearby are great restaurants and bars as well. If you take the tour, be sure to have a DD :)

South Valley Park

8354 S Valley Rd, Littleton, CO 80127

South Valley Park hosts scenic trails and easy-to-access adventure! The park is free and has two trailheads - the North trailhead is off of S Valley Rd (you can find it by navigating to the Swallow Trail Trailhead) and the South trailhead is off of W Deer Creek Canyon Rd (navigate to the Coyote Song Trailhead). Bryan and Calley frequented this trail while training for the Moab Trail Half Marathon that they ran in November 2023 and it quickly became one of their favorite spots! The trails have moderate elevation change but offer gorgeous views of the hogbacks and red sandstone formations (created at the same time the iconic Red Rocks were formed some 300 million years ago!). This park is great for those who want a less strenuous hike. Dogs are permitted on-leash, but please be aware of mountain bikers and wildlife on the trail, including rattlesnakes, deer, and coyotes.
