Sara and Matt knew of each other through mutual friends at Villanova, but they didn't seriously pursue each other until the night before Easter break of Sara's senior year/Matt's junior year. While both out with friends, Matt walked past Sara and quickly doubled back to approach her with a seemingly casual, "you're Sara Brooks, right?" Neither of them had ever before experienced the kind of connection they felt with each other, so a few weeks later when Sara asked Matt if they were dating, he immediately labeled her as his girlfriend.
