What to wear?

Answer

Coastal California Elevated. We'll be under the redwoods along the Big Sur River & the evening may cool off. Ladies: think flowy dresses with a throw or jacket. Wedges, block heels, boots or flats are ideal for the venue surfaces. Gentlemen: if you're opt for a suit or sport coat, lighter materials like linen and cotton are keen. The groom won't be wearing a tie.

Can we bring the kids?

We love your little ones, but due to venue limitations, for this special day, we're keeping it a grown-up affair.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and from the wedding?

Answer

YES! There will be a free shuttle (14 passenger van offered by Adam Earth Transport) between Big Sur hotels/campgrounds and Big Sur River Inn (before and after the wedding). If you'd like a ride please sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K425JNpvA0tutlbFQf-Drce7dkZxCnlVyHfUMGcilS0/edit?usp=sharing Based on the number of total passengers, there'll be 1-2 shuttle runs with set pick-up times before the ceremony. The first pick-up will likely be 3:00 pm at Deetjen's. We'll send out a pick-up schedule to all those who sign up.

Do cell phones work in Big Sur?

Answer

Sorta. Cell phone service is getting better in Big Sur (sad face). Though coverage can be a bit spotty - it is usually good enough along HWY 1 for navigation to work. Use the opportunity to disconnect and tune in to the Big Sur vibe!
