FAQs

If you have any other questions than what we've listed here, please reach out to Brooke, at 808-825-1439.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal Attire. No specific color palette, but please do NOT show up in white. Men: A suit (or a blazer with tailored dress pants), a dress shirt, and a tie, or aloha wear and long pants. Women: Midi dresses, knee-length cocktail dresses, structured separates (e.g., a skirt and blouse), or sleek jumpsuits. Footwear: Chunky heels (try to avoid stilettos as both ceremony and reception take place on an uneven grass lawn), dressy flats, dress shoes, or polished loafers.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes there is parking at the venue although it is limited. We will have someone guiding the cars where to go. If possible please have families riding in one car.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. Although we are getting married in the height of summer, Waimea does get cold at night. Please bring a wrap or extra layer to throw on when the temperature changes.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We ask that you please refrain from taking any pictures during the ceremony portion of the wedding. What about during the reception? Absolutely, please take as many pictures as you would like. We will have a QR code listed on the back of the table numbers to upload to a shared album.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Although we will not have a bartender or designated bar area, we will be serving/carrying various types of alcohol & drinks for age appropriate guests (21+ ONLY). Please drink responsibly and have a DD ready if needed (ESPECIALLY if going back over Saddle Road)!

Question

What do I do if I have a food allergy?

Answer

We will be serving Hawaiian food as the main dishes at our ceremony. Unfortunately, we will not have any substitute options for those with allergies. If necessary please pack or bring allergy safe food for those who need it.
