It all started in high school when Brooke decided to become a STAT girl for the Hilo High School Wrestling Team. Well kind of... If you know Brayden you know that he wrestled in high school. While his mind was focused on the mat, Brooke's mind was focused on the chance of catching a glimpse of Brayden. She did not know who he was at the time but she knew he was cute and really good at the sport, so she would always make sure to watch his matches in the off chance that he would lock eyes with her on the sidelines. Although you might think that they would eventually cross paths at the tournaments or maybe even say a word to each other, they never did. In fact Brayden didn't even know who Brooke was. While they were always in the same building their story doesn't begin until after high school. Where Brayden made the first move. "What part of the body loses the most?" "What a weird way to slide into someone's DMs, wait a minute it's from Brayden!" Brooke thought. "Oh my gosh is he trying to start talking to me?" Brooke started to panic. "Umm, idk what part?" She responded. "The feet. Get it de-feat, the feet?" Brayden said. At the time Brooke had given up on talking to boys since she had just started her first year in college and wanted to focus on school, so it took her a couple hours to respond. Although she did not get the joke at first Brayden persisted and he will admit he had to double text her a few times to keep the conversation going, but the rest is history and they have been inseparable ever since, living life with their two dogs Cookie and Enoki.

During Brooke's lunch break she got a text from Brayden asking her if she wanted to have a stay at home date night/dinner, of course she agreed. After a long day at work Brooke came home and was ready to lie down and relax for the rest of the night. Everyday the first thing she does is change into comfy clothes to get out of her office clothes. Brayden had the biggest smile on his face and Brooke just thought that he was excited to eat the steak he had bought for dinner. If there is one thing about Brayden it is that he is impatient when it comes to gifts and surprises, so when he got the call that the ring was ready to pick up that morning he knew he was going to propose later that same night. When she came home he had everything ready to go, but unfortunately Brooke had already changed into her baggy clothes and was sitting on their bed unknowingly. Nevertheless, he brought out the roses first and explained that he wanted to get her flowers to make their date night a little more fancy. "Wait I have to grab one more thing. Don't move." He said. When he came back he was hiding the ring behind his back, gave his speech, and knelt down to pop the question. Brooke was in complete shock because he had told her not long ago that he was going to wait to ask her to marry him, but she was ecstatic. She may not remember everything he said since she had dissociated due to the shock but she knew that that was the easiest "yes" of her life. Even though it is no extravagant story, it is theirs and they wouldn't change it for the world. <3
