High Alpine Brewing Co. is the only brewery in Gunnison, has food options, and an outdoor deck when the weather is nice. -There are ample opportunities for river activities in the Gunnison area. This includes paddle boarding, rafting, kayaking, and fishing. The Gunnison River runs through the town of Gunnison and has different stretches with varying degrees of difficulty for water sports. The East River and Taylor River merge at Almont, CO to form the Gunnison River. There is great fishing along the Gunnison River and the Taylor River. -There are also numerous trails for hiking and mountain biking in Gunnison and the surrounding areas.

The Dogwood is a small cocktail bar that has great drinks and some small appetizers. Montoya's Distillery also has good drinks and food. -There are lots of fun shops along the main street in Crested Butte for souvenirs, clothes, or any other needs and wants. -Take the ski lift to the top of Mount Crested Butte to see some amazing views. There are also hiking trails on the mountain and any adventurers can hike up or down the mountain instead of taking the chair lift.
The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is located just over an hour from Gunnison, CO. The national park offers great views and opportunities for pictures at various viewpoints along the drive.
Tin Cup, CO is a small, ghost town located at 10,157 feet of elevation. It is an hour drive from Gunnison, CO which includes some well maintained dirt roads.
The Taylor Park Reservoir is at the top of the Taylor Canyon and is a 50 min drive from Gunnison, CO. This a great place for more leisurely water sports (paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing). There is a marina at the Taylor Reservoir with boat rentals if you are interested. This area also has a huge ATV presence with many trails and places to rent ATVs.
