Meet our Family and friends who will be walking down the aisle with us!

Katrina T.

Maid of Honor

In 2015, a mutual friend introduced Katrina and Monica with the inkling that they might become good friends. and man, was he right. Through the ups and downs of navigating job challenges, long-distance relationships, and the petites section of every store in DC, Katrina has been there for Monica since day 1, and Monica will treasure her friendship no matter where life takes them.

Karen A.

Bridesmaid

Karen walked into Introduction to International Relations their first day freshman year and Monica turned to her and asked, "Did you friend me on Facebook?" and a true friendship was formed. Karen and Monica (also known as Karonica) were roommates, spent many a wine night in and dance night out together, and continue to share a love of Law and Order SVU, even as they live in separate cities.

Annemarie H.

Bridesmaid

Annemarie and Monica were roommates at Notre Dame, and Monica will forever be scarred by the sound of Annemarie's alarm clock which rang approximately 10 times every morning. Annemarie and Monica share a love of mediocre improvisational rap, dancing until our feet hurt, and taking French classes just for the food perks.

Jessica M.

Bridesmaid

Jess and Monica are equally appreciative of both intellectual pursuits and not-so-intellectual pursuits - they have spent days together studying the intricacies of US security policy and international democracy, and have spent days together watching Lifetime movie marathons. Monica always knows that she will have an excellent time with Jess around and it is never a dull moment together.

Margarita D.

Bridesmaid

Margarita and Monica met in DC, and Monica values Margarita for her confidence, her impeccable choice of cool spots to hang out in DC, and her ability to talk to both about teen heartthrobs and classic literature in the same conversation. Marg and Mon do equally well spending time reading novels separately but together while sharing a bottle of wine, and also singing karaoke at the top of their lungs at 2am.

Lauren F.

Bridesmaid

Lauren is a friend to be trusted, both to show up at a 6am hot yoga class that we thought was a good idea when we booked it, and the friend that Brad trusted not to spill the beans on the proposal. Lauren has invited Monica to some of her most memorable experiences in DC, from an Oscar movie night with senators to a gala for dogs, but Monica loves Lauren's company best when eating takeout sushi and lounging on the couch with a movie on.

Andy Schroeder

Best Man

Andy and Brad have known each other for 28 years and are so close people call them brothers...because they are. Through the highs of brotherhood, like bonding over ancient video games or long car trips through Ohio and the lows of brotherhood, like face squeezing and breaking doors, Andy has always been by Brad's side and Brad can't imagine having anyone else standing right next to him on his wedding day

Magan Ngoto

Best Man

Brad and Magan met early in college and it was a match made in heaven from the start. Whether it was late night taco bell, countless hours of FIFA, or Hip-Hop Night at Legends, Magan and Brad were largely inseparable in college and remain that way today. Monica swears that she isn't jealous of Magan and Brad's relationship but sometimes you wonder...

Bob Burkett

Groomsman

Bob and Brad had mutual friends at Notre Dame, but their friendship wasn't cemented until they studied abroad together in Australia. After sharing experiences together like feeding Quokkas, hiking through jungles and not seeing whale sharks, Bob and Brad became lifelong friends. Their friendship continued on after graduation in DC where they spent time exploring museums and bars together (the ratio of those two shouldn't be looked at too closely)

Michael Rudnac

Groomsman

Rudnac and Brad played high school soccer together, frequently visited each other in college despite going to rival-ish schools, and both found themselves in medical school at the same time. Brad is especially appreciative of Rudnac helping him in med school as he is a year above Brad and gave tons of advice. While this was great, easily the greatest contribution Rudnac has made to Brad's life is introducing him to the wonders of Nandos.

Brian Van Metre

Groomsman

Brad and Brian became fast friends in college and were even roommates sophomore year. Despite this living situation, they remain very close friends to this day. They made many of their old memories together over video games and Notre Dame football and now they're making new memories over video games and Notre Dame football. If there is one thing Brian has taught Brad, it is "shoot to get hot, shoot to stay hot"

Nick Mehfoud

Groomsman

Nick and Brad met during grad school in DC and Brad realized how great of a friendship this could be after tasting Nick's Buffalo chicken dip. And also realizing how much they had in common and enjoyed the same things or whatever, but really, that buff-chick dip though. Nick is one of the few people who shares in Brad's unhealthy zeal for college football and they've spent many Sundays discussing in great detail the most recent games
