This is one of the biggest churches in all the land. You can explore it for $10 or just enjoy the view of the exterior for $10 less (i.e. free). On the south side of the building, there's an enclosure with a big fountain and some peacock friends (you can see them from the street). Pair with a visit to the Hungarian Pastry Shop and Columbia.
The Ramble is a nice spot to just wander. It’s a maze of greenery. It borders the Lake, which is a nice spot for rowboat sightings on a summer’s day. Enter the Park near the Natural History Museum and head east to find the Lake. The Ramble is along the northern edge.
This place has good coffee and a very cute interior. It’s a couple blocks east of Times Square (and close to Caitlin’s office). There’s excellent coffee everywhere. Most coffee shops are part of a regional (or NYC only) chains. You should be able to find one of these nearby: - Birch - Irving Farm - Blue Bottle - La Colombe - Joe - Bluestone Lane
This is one of Kevin’s favorite spots in the whole city to read his newspaper - a shady little oasis that is shielded from the hustle and bustle by the sound of a nice waterfall. Grab a bagel from nearby Esse Bagel. There is a separate line if you just want a bagel and it’s dramatically shorter than the main line, which often spills out onto the sidewalk.
