Great question! We are asking for people to give us a general idea of their plans this early so we can plan accordingly for the venue, shuttle and hotel blocks. Cabot Vermont is pretty rural for vendor options and it is also super far for a lot of people so we are asking for an idea of your plans. If you are unable to join us, we understand and appreciate the heads up and we will see you elsewhere! We also understand that plans can change, and you can absolutely adjust your RSVP as we get closer to the wedding date, but having general numbers in September will best allow us to plan accordingly.
YES! If you received an invite, you are welcome to all three events. We know most of you will be traveling out of town and we want to connect with each of you.
All three events are kid-friendly, and we are excited to celebrate with entire families, but please do be aware that our venue is a big field that is not contained. Our wedding was designed with an adult-focused atmosphere in mind, featuring a late-night reception, loud music, and alcohol. There will be plenty of room to stretch little legs, and we can't wait to see them cutting up on the dance floor, but we do ask that families plan to be responsible for watching their own families and thus, each family is invited to decide what is the right fit for them. We also kindly ask that if anyone happens to be vocal, we request that you please step away during the ceremony.
There is a room block at the Comfort Inn and Suites in St. Johnsburg VT (~20 minutes from the venue). There will be a shuttle to and from here on the wedding night. There are also various other options that are included on the Travel tab if you would prefer to drive yourself and explore other options.
Evening cocktail attire, according to Clayton, it's "no tuxes, no jeans, somewhere in-between." It's a Summer wedding in the Green Mountain state so bright colors are encouraged. We also suggest you wear something that allows you to dance the night away and feel your best!
Please reach out to Clayton or Brittany, we'd be HAPPY to help plan your trip in the beautiful Green Mountain State.
We will have a shuttle that will provide transportation on the ceremony night to and from the venue to the Comfort Inn and Suites Near Burke Mountain in St. Johnsbury. The Comfort Inn and Suites hotel is about 20 minutes from the venue and we will have multiple shuttles. The last shuttle of the night will leave Cabot Plains at [TBD].
The ceremony will start at [TBD] and kindly request you arrive at least 15 minutes early. The shuttles will start picking up from Comfort Inn and Suites at [TBD]. There will also be space to park if you would like to drive yourself. Ubers/Lyfts will not be an option so please plan ahead-- welcome to rural Vermont!
We plan to get married rain or shine.
