10:45 am - 1:00 pm
A Jewish pre-wedding ceremony called "aufruf" is a tradition in which a couple is blessed by the congregation during the regularly scheduled Saturday morning services prior to their wedding. Brinae and Lisa will be honored with an aliyah (blessing of the torah) and a blessing from the congregation that involves throwing candy at the couple. Kiddish (basically a light lunch) sponsored by Penny and Phil Gaudet will be served after services. Basically: come throw candy at us and then eat lunch. No, you don't have to be Jewish to attend. Note about times: Services on Saturday morning start with a discussion at 9:15, the morning service is at 10am, and the torah service starts around 10:45. It is customary for people to trickle in over the course of morning services. The relevant part of the service involving Brinae and Lisa is the torah service at 10:45ish. Services end at about 12:15, immediately followed by kiddish.
