A shuttle service will be provided to the ceremony/reception, as well as back to the hotel at the end of the night at 12am. Please be in the hotel lobby at 4:15pm, the shuttle will leave for the ceremony promptly at 4:25pm. Located 20 minutes from the wedding venue, Larkfield Manor, this hotel blends the urban style of New York City with the quaint charm of Long Island. Melville Long Island hotel offers convenient access to popular destinations including Adventureland, Belmont Lake State Park, Bethpage State Park and Walt Whitman Shops as well as the corporate headquarters of Canon and Nikon. Active travelers can enjoy a workout in the 24-hour fitness center before cooling off in the indoor pool. There is breakfast available on-site at the hotel for purchase if you would like!

Shuttle

Shuttle to and from the Marriott Melville

A shuttle will be provided for guests leaving from the Melville Marriott. Please be in the lobby at 4:15pm for the shuttle to depart promptly at 4:25pm to head to the ceremony. At the end of the night, a shuttle will be provided from Larkfield back to the Melville Marriott.

Long Island Railroad

The Long Island Railroad is safe, easy to use, and offers convenient travel all over Long Island and into NYC. It also offers an airtrain from the John F Kennedy airport to Jamaica station.

Flight

John F Kennedy Airport

NYC has many airport choices, but JFK is the most conveniently located in proximity to the wedding venue and nearby hotels. As a major airport in the area, it offers the most choices in the event of flight delays or cancellations. From JFK Airport to the Marriott Melville Long Island Option 1 — Uber / Lyft / Taxi (Recommended) Approximate travel time: 45–75 minutes depending on traffic Approximate distance: 30–35 miles Estimated rideshare cost: UberX/Lyft: approximately $90–$160 Taxi/car service: approximately $100–$170 Directions for rideshare pickup: After baggage claim, follow signs for “Ride App Pickup” or “For Hire Vehicles.” Request an Uber or Lyft to: “Marriott Melville Long Island” Drivers pick up from designated rideshare areas outside each terminal. This is the easiest and most convenient option for most guests. Option 2 — AirTrain + Long Island Rail Road (Budget-Friendly) Approximate total travel time: 1.5–2.5 hours Follow signs in JFK for the AirTrain. Take the AirTrain to the Jamaica Station From Jamaica Station, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) toward: Huntington, or Ronkonkoma/Babylon lines depending on timing Exit at a nearby station such as: Farmingdale Hicksville Take a short Uber/Lyft to the hotel. This option is less expensive but requires transfers and navigating train schedules. For the smoothest arrival experience, we recommend Uber, Lyft, or taxi service directly from JFK Airport to the hotel. Public transportation is available via the Long Island Rail Road but may require multiple transfers.

This is by far the easiest option for guests unfamiliar with NYC transit.
