We're getting married!

We first met in Fall 2018 during our sophomore year of college in Introductory Biology Lab. At first, neither of us would have expected the other to be their forever person. When assigned to be in the same group and to present our expected roles in the team, Bridgette told her group she was likely going to be bossy and impatient with high expectations of the group. Brendan followed suit by saying that was fine with him, he was more relaxed and happy to let someone else run the group. After working together it became clear that this was something special, beyond an academic success, we had each found our person. That same complementary dynamic has stayed true for much of our relationship, helping to balance each other's personalities as we learn from each other. Pretty soon we were getting dinner together at the dining hall after lab, staying up late to study, and eventually began officially dating, much to the surprise of none of our friends. Not long after it was time for our dorm leases to end, and we made the decision to move in together in our first apartment in June 2019. After graduating in 2021, we applied to medical school together and are graduating in May 2026 as Dr. Maloney and Dr. Nixon, shortly before the wedding. Now we have expanded our little family adopting our first dog, Lemon, short for Lemon Drop (or Lemonade if you're kid friendly). If she is well behaved, you may be able to find her at the wedding! We hope to see you all at our wedding as we continue the celebration of our nearly 8 years of love!
