Niki, seen above in Wheel, and Katherine have known each other since they were in middle school. Though a few months younger, Niki was a fantastic driving coach for Katherine in high school. They have stayed close, sharing time in Washington, DC (when Niki isn’t traveling or living elsewhere around the world).

Laura (also known as HL) and Kat met in college at the University of Notre Dame. In a very non-stalker-y move in 2015, Kat moved to Nashville about 50 feet from Laura’s home to reunite them and relive a southern version of their college adventures.
Honor Attendant
Jules and Kat have been HLPs since they met in the Fall 2000 as freshman at the University of Notre Dame. They survived the Boat Club, a semester in London, and living together for 2.5 years all before graduating. They are ‘friends who are family.’
Honor Attendant
Michelle and Katherine shared an office together in their first jobs after college in Washington, DC, just blocks from the white house. Their DC adventures are too numerous to count (and include travel to Thailand, Turkey, Greece, and more as well).
Honor Attendant
Cassandra and Kat met in graduate school at American University in 2009 and have relied on each other for advice, laughter, and life changes ever since.

This is Jesse Blair, aka Touchdown. He and Zach were roommates back in the 80s, which - as most of you know - was one crazy decade. To hear an embarrassing story about the groom, ask Jesse about back in high school football when Zach challenged him in a tackling drill. It was the one day a year when the JV football team got to go up against the varsity. It did not end well for Zach. On a tangential note, when Zach was 8, he poured milk on Jesse's head. Perhaps the tackling drill was Jesse's long awaited revenge. Anyway, he and Zach are good now.

This is Alex Blair. Back in the 90s, when Alex wanted to runaway from home, Zach was there for him. He helped him pack a snack bag and walked a solid 5 or 6 blocks with him before they stopped by a friend's house to call home for a ride back. Though they ultimately passed on a shared life as vagabonds, growing up together was still pretty awesome. Nowadays, Alex and Zach enjoy hanging out and catching up over a game of Catan.

This is Josh Elmore. He and Zach met during their first week of college and got to know each other in one of Dr. Carpenter's English classes during their first semester. They enjoyed hanging out so much that not long after that, they decided to be roommates, and apparently they enjoyed being roommates so much that they decided to move to Guatemala for a year immediately after college. It was an amazing year: they summitted volcanoes and almost drowned in the Pacific. Zach will forever be grateful for what a great friend Josh has always been.

This is not Pouya Bavafa. This is Peeshy. Zach is just so in sync with Pouya that Zach knew, deep down inside, Pouya would prefer a picture of his cat on the wedding website rather than himself. Pouya was Zach's closest friend in San Francisco. They played together on a rec basketball team and would frequent all the best concerts in town. After Zach left SF, Pouya moved to a tiny island of 20,000 people in the Pacific Ocean. Zach came out to visit, and Pouya took him out on the best dive trip he's ever been on in his life. Pouya is back in California these days. Despite the geographical distance, they keep each other close in friendship. Zach hopes to one day meet Peeshy.
Surprise Guest
To be clear, she wasn't a surprise. It is just a surprise that she made it to our wedding.
Hype Team
Our nephew Crockett stays up until 11 p.m. most nights (seriously), so come to this wedding ready to party because Crockett sure will. Tennyson is coming mostly for the dessert.
Trouble
Michael, Ray, Galen, Rina, Noah, and Isaac! There are a few more cousins than there were when we originally planned this wedding!
